Author's POV
The girls spent their holidays with Cheryl's family. They were happy especially Samantha because she spent her holidays with the love of her life. "Babe, you look so happy today." Cheryl said as she gave the French girl a dimpled smile. "I am. I'm very happy babe. I got to spend the holidays with the love of my life and with my sisters." Sam said as she gave the Geordie a kiss on her cheek. The two of them watched the four girls play around outside, throwing snowballs at each other. "Hey you guys! Getting touchy and stuff. Why don't you guys join us?" the youngest of the siblings said, the other girls looked at the two love birds who looked at each other. Out of nowhere, Margaret threw a snowball at Samantha who was surprised. "Why you!" Samantha exclaimed as she grabbed a handful of snow and molded it into a ball, throwing it to her sister. Margaret dodged it easily and threw another one towards Sam. The Geordie was in awe as she watched the siblings throw snowballs at each other, "I am declaring war!" Margaret exclaimed as she started throwing snowballs at her other siblings.
As Cheryl was watching the siblings throw snowballs at each other, little did she know that Sam stealthily approached her from behind and put a handful of snow on her back. The Geordie squealed in surprise as she felt the cold snow against her skin. "Samantha !!!! You come back here!" The brown eyed beauty exclaimed as she chased her girlfriend. Of course, Sam being an athlete, she was able to evade Cheryl quickly. Sam's 4 younger sisters watched the couple in awe. Little did the 4 girls know that Cheryl was planning something, the Nation's sweetheart grabbed a handful of snow and molded it into a ball. She threw it at Jackie who was caught by the guard, Samantha laughed loudly as she watched her sister shake the snow off. "Hey! No fair!" Jackie exclaimed. Joan and Gary can hear the girls outside having fun,
After goofing around in the snow they were all huddled in the living room, each one of them holding a cup of hot chocolate. "Damn! This is the type of vacation and relaxation that I need. Away from all the stress in school." Jackie said. The 3 girls nodded in agreement as they took a sip of their drink. "What are you planning to take up in college, Stephanie?" Cheryl asked. Sam looked at her younger sister who was thinking, "hmmmm .. I'm planning to join the military." Stephanie responded which caused the room to be silent. Being the eldest, Samantha looked at her younger sister who was confused because of the sudden silence. Cheryl sensing Samantha would go off any second now, held her girlfriend's hand. "Steph, we already talked about this right?" Samantha asked, the younger girl looked at her older sister. "Sam. You're fully aware that this is the profession that I want. I mean, this is where I'll be happy and this is my dream. Why can't you just support me?" Stephanie responded, annoyance visible in her voice. "Stephanie." Margaux called out. The younger girl just kept her mouth shut then just looked at her cup of hot chocolate. To ease the tension Joan stood up and looked at the girls, "I think we should call this a day and take a rest. All of you are tired from goofing off around all day." Joan stated, the girls just nodded in agreement as all of them stood up then placed their cups on the sink.
Cheryl saw her girlfriend by the balcony in deep thought. "Hey baby, are you okay?" The Geordie knew it's a stupid question but she had to ask since she needed to check on her girlfriend. "Yeah." Sam responded as he sighed. "Alright, what's bothering you?" The Geordie asked. The French girl opened her mouth to respond but then closed it immediately and just shook her head. "Sam .." Cheryl called out. "Cheryl please .. I don't want to talk about it." Sam just plainly said then she looked at her girlfriend who's obviously worried. "Please. Don't worry about it. I'm ok." Sam added as she kissed and hug her girlfriend. The Geordie hugged her back and just gave her a soft smile, "ok .." Cheryl softly whispered. " But I think whatever you and Stephanie didn't agree about? I think you girls should talk about it. "Cheryl added, Sam just sighed as she looked at Cheryl who was just staring at her." We will. But not right now. This is not the right place and right time. "The Fighter stated, Cheryl just nodded her head in agreement as she led them to the bed.
The next morning, Sam woke up early and she saw her girlfriend sleeping soundly. She gave her a kiss on the cheek then stood up slowly, trying not to wake her girlfriend up. When she went out of the room, she can hear her sisters talking to Gary and Joan who's preparing breakfast for them. She went downstairs and saw them in the kitchen, making pancakes and hot chocolate for all of them. Margaux noticed Sam watching them, "good morning Sam." the younger girl greeted with a smile, "good morning." Sam greeted back. "Have you seen Steph?" she asked as she sat down, "she's outside." Joan responded. She thanked Joan as she stood up and walked out the door, she saw her sister building a snowman while she has her headphones on. "She won't hear me if I call out to her." Sam thought to herself, she approached her sister who was pretty busy building a snowman. She tapped on her sisters shoulder who turned around in surprise, "hey!" Stephanie greeted. The younger girl took her headphones off then looked at her sister, "you're pretty busy huh?" Sam asked as she looked at the snowman, "yeah. I'm pretty bored actually." the younger girl responded. "Uhm hey, listen.. I just wanted to apologize by the way I acted yesterday." Sam apologized as she looked down, the younger girl just looked at her sister who was probably waiting for a response from her. Stephanie chuckled as she hugged her older sister, "it's fine. No need to apologize." the younger girl said, Sam just hugged her sister back and smiled as she was thankful that her sister doesn't hold any grudges.
As the day went by, they were out at the mall and doing some Christmas shopping. "Hey. Have you gotten her anything?" Margaux asked. "Not yet. I don't know what to get her." Sam responded still thinking on what to get for Cheryl. "Oh I know! Come with me." Margaux dragged her sister with her as they entered a jewelry shop, "you go and get her a gorgeous ring that would suit her." the younger girl stated as she watched her sister look at the rings, "right. Good idea." Sam said as she looked at the rings. The shop keeper approached them and showed Sam all of the rings that are on display, Sam was having a hard time because all of the rings would look good on Cheryl. Suddenly, an idea popped out of her head. "Do you have a ring that has an alexandrite stone?" Sam asked, the shop keeper nodded yes and went inside a small room. After a few minutes, she came out with a red velvet box and when she opened it Sam was in awe. She looked at her sister who was looking at the ring with a smirk on her face, "that is perfect sis." Margaux said as she looked at her sister. "We'll take this." The older girl said as she handed the woman her credit card.
"Did you guys buy anything?" Cheryl asked Margaux and Sam, the 2 siblings looked at each other as they laughed. "Nope." Margaux responded as she went inside the house. "Did you buy anything?" Sam asked her girlfriend, "Yep! I actually got you something." Cheryl responded as she smiled. "Oh really? What could that be?" "Hmmmm.. For now, I'll keep it as a secret." The Geordie gave her a wink as she left her girlfriend who's shaking her head in disbelief. "Really now babe?" "Yes. Just be patient." "Ok.. Fine.. I'll wait." Sam responded as she looked down at the box she was holding, she smiled to herself as she thought about her plan. She's fully aware that she would really like to marry Cheryl, she is the love of her life. The person who completes her and the person who makes her feel alive.
