Willow's POV"Hey Willow." Taylor said as he fell in stride with me.
"Hey, how's it going?" I asked as we walked along the hallway.
"Good..." Taylor trailed off.
"I need to ask you something." He added.
Taylor abruptly put both his hands on my shoulders and pulled me to a halt. I was a little shocked, but I took the time to closely examined his features. He had sun dyed blonde hair, that had been pulled back into a bun. His eyes were the most beautiful shade of green I had ever seen and his skin was tanned and smooth to the touch. There was no denying it - Taylor Cooper was pretty good looking.
"Willow? Are you listening to me?" Taylor clicked his fingers in front of my face. I snapped out of my trance.
"Sorry what?" I asked sheepishly.
Taylor took a deep breath in. What was he going to ask me anyway? It looked like he was really deep in thought.
"I don't really know how to say this but – uh – would you – would you wanna go on a date with me?" Taylor mused as he scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.
My heart rate quickened.
Taylor was actually asking me on a date?
I was really surprised. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that Taylor thought of me that way.
My heart sunk when I thought about the real reason that Taylor was asking me out. He probably needed a girl to fill his time while his thoughts were still on Kaitlyn. Just like he had been doing with Hannah and Tahlia and all those other girls I'd heard he'd been making out with."Taylor, what's the real reason you're asking me out?" I asked sadly.
Taylor looked slightly hurt.
"It's not what you think Willow." He said briskly.
"I've been doing a lot of thinking - mostly about you actually - and I've decided that I really like you." He smiled, showing off his pearly white teeth.
"And I wanted to do this right – so I'm officially asking you on a date."
This has all happened so quickly ...
What do I say?
Do I even feel about Taylor in that way?"I'm willing to give it a try." I smiled.
Taylor's face lit up and he grinned from ear to ear.
"I'll text you the details." He said happily.
I know that Taylor's a wildcard and he's known to lead girls on – but there was an undeniable excited feeling that ran through me when Taylor asked me out. It's worth a try, right?
