Cassidy's POV
"5!" I shouted as loud as I could.
"Cassidy! Do not yell in class!" Mrs Anderson scolded. As if I would listen to her.
"4!" I yelled even louder this time.
A few of my classmates caught onto what I was doing.
"3!" We all said in unison.
"2!"
"1!"
"CASSIDY–" Mrs Anderson's face had turned bright red, but I didn't hear what else she had to say because the bell had rung, signalling the end of the day. Counting down until the end of the day had turned into something I did frequently now.
I ran out of the room before Mrs Anderson could tell me off even more, collected my bag and then joined the massive crowd pushing through to get out of school. This crowd was always the worst. I had absolutely no patience today, so I pushed through everybody and even knocked a few people out of the way. Once I had gotten out in the open, I went straight towards the teachers car park, where I had promised to meet Dylan. I rocked back and forth on the balls of my feet with anticipation as this would be the first time I would actually talk to Dylan.
I saw a boy approaching me with floppy brown hair and glasses. He was here!
My excitement got the best of me and I ran towards him and gave him a big hug. He was stiff at first but he eventually relaxed and hugged me back.
"Hey Cass, how are y–"
Before he could finish his sentence, I grabbed his hand and pulled him along with me.
"Let's go exploring Dylan!"
