Taylor's snapchat story
--
Taylor's POV"Olivia is such a legend." Kaitlyn said through a mouth full of food.
"Like honestly how did she turn me, – " she gestured to herself with her fork, "into a total nerd?"
"You got a couple of As, settle down." Cassidy laughed as she playfully shoved Kaitlyn.
We were seated at a new café called 'The Fat Duck' to celebrate Kaitlyn staying with us and not having to move schools. We were all laughing and chatting loudly, enjoying our last moments before we'd have to go to school.
The familiar ring of the bell sounded which signalled the café door was opening. The morning cold air swept through the door and engulfed everyone inside. Almost immediately, the chatter at our table came to a halt. Everyone's eyes were focused on the intruder behind me. I hastily turned around to see who had walked in and that's when I saw him.
Sawyer.
In shock, he had stumbled and dropped his school books all over the floor. He looked at us all wide eyed, as if he didn't believe what he was seeing. Willow stood up to help Sawyer pick up his books but I put a hand on her thigh to stop her. She retreated uneasily back to her seat. I think everyone could feel the tension in the room.
Sawyer collected his books and looked at us all, sitting without him. He never sits with us at lunch, he's not in the groupchat and he never bothers to talk to us anymore, so I really don't understand why he thought he would ever be invited.
Sawyer turned and walked out of the café without saying a word. The door slammed shut and everyone was silent. All that could be heard was the buzz of the coffee machine.
