The New Life

A few years ago...

"Was it all just an act? Y-you really don't mean it do you?" Asked the redhead. Although her face was not visibly pretty, her cerulean eyes from which tears flowed down looked alluring.

"Ofcourse he does. Don't you Ashy?" Asked a brown haired girl, who was clinging to a raven haired boy's arm.

"Did you think I'll really date you Misty? Just look at you.... You are the full definition of ugliness. Did you that was all-"

Slap!

"You're gonna regret this Ketchum!" The redhead said as she slapped the boy right across the face and strode away to get rid of the memories with a strong heart.

Little did she know that there was not only one but another broken heart filled with regret already.

Present

Misty's pov:

I opened my window breathing the fresh morning air. The chillness hit my face with the warm sunlight as usual.

Too bad, this will be the last day I'll be staying here...

I turned back to the luggage I had packed the previous night. This made me conclude what had happened a week ago was not really a dream.

Flashback

I was reading a magazine on the couch when my eldest sister Daisy called me over.

"Misty! Come over here! You've got a letter!!!" She shouted as I got up from the couch.

"What is it Daise?"

"You've been accepted into your dream college Mist!!! You've been accepted! Accepted! Accepted!!!" She squealed into my ears.

Well, that was all enough for my other two sisters to start squealing and congratulating too.

"I'm so happy for you! I can't believe you've grown up this much!" My other sisters Lily and Violet exclaimed as soon as they got to know the news.

"Well.... If I've been accepted.... Then... I need to know if May, Dawn and Leaf have been accepted too!!!" I said as I ran up to my room to call my three best friends who were there with me from the worst part of my life till now.

I first dialled May's number to know of she had been accepted. Before I could even ask her, she started squealing.

"Oh my gosh! Mist! I've been accepted into the college! What about you? Have Dawn and Leaf been accepted too?!"

I had to keep my phone miles away so that my ears didn't go deaf.

"Yeah, I've gone through as well! Looks like Leaf and Dawn made it too!" I exclaimed after seeing the messages from them.

"I'm so happy we're able to still be together Mist... After all we had gone through during the first year of our highschool....." May said trailing off.

I sighed.... That day which was the darkest day of my life, turned out to be even more darker for the other three of my friends. We all were heart broken and devastated after what had happened that day....

I can't believe he still did that...

"Um... You there Mist?" May asked, pulling me into the present.

"Yup. So, the letter says we've got to arrive there a week prior to the college's opening right?" I asked scanning through the content of the letter.

"Yeah... That's two weeks from today, how about we all go there together? Besides, we'll be allotted dorms according to our ranking in the entrance test"

"Mhm, I hope we'll all be placed together in the same area though..."

"I just hope we don't believe people a lot again" May said with bitterness in her voice.

"Let's forget the past and move on May.... They're nothing to us now...."

"That's true, why think about jerks when we get to enjoy the rest of our life?!" May said in her usual happy tone.

"Right. So, we'll all start this weekend Kay? Let's begin our new life!" I said enthusiastically and ended the call. I once again read through the letter.

Melodic College Of Arts

This letter has been sent to confirm that the student has been accepted into our college through the exam they have attended. The required study materials will be issued to the students when they begin their year.

Also, students who have also applied for dormitory facilities will be allotted their respective dorms according to the ranks they have achieved.

Students are asked to confirm their arrival a week prior to the beginning of their academic year.

We hope all the students get along in the college and pass out as the people they wanted to be and the society respects.

This is it. My life begins from now.
