Dawn's pov
   "And the best fashion designer of the year award goes to.... "
    I held on to my hope with slight fear as the mc announced the results...
Suddenly a staff came and whispered something in his ear....

"Well, I'm sorry to say this.... But this year's award has been cancelled as the sponsor backed out the last minute"

"Noooooo!!!"

"Dawn wake up!"

"Huh?"

The bright beautiful stage was replaced by my pink bedroom and the only then I realised it was all a dream...

I got up and looked around only to see my mom frowning down at me.

"You sure know how to delay yourself huh?"

"What are you talking about" I said groggily, still not fully awake.

"Gosh Dawn! Do you even realize what day is it today? Honestly.... You were so eager yesterday that I thought you would actually be up before me!"

Still unable to grasp the reason I was being scolded for, I turned my head to look at the calendar....

Only to find today's date circled with a sharpie and marked as the college day.

"I've got to get ready!!!"

"You better do that sooner, the other three are already on their way"

"Got it!"

Leaf's pov
I drove my trusty car on the streets to pick up the girls to our college.

Life has been much better for me this year! Not only I got accepted into my dream college but also my friends did too! Also my appearance has changed way too better compared to my early teen years.

"You've got too much acne to take care of already... How can you take care of a guy with them around?"

I looked over to the mirror to see my fave totally free from acne and blemishes and purely glowing.

Hah... I bet you'd eat your own words if you see me now Oak.

Humming, I drove into the driveway of the Maple's to see Max, May's brother playing out with his friends.

"Hey Leaf!" He waved as he approached me.

"Hey Max, Woah you're taller than me now!" I said as I rasied my hand to ruffle his hair.

"Not the hair" he sulked and then smiled fixing it.

"Where's May?"

"May and Misty are up in her room... Apparently, that sister of mine couldn't pack everything into her suitcase since she wanted a lot of snacks.." he said groaning.

Facepalming, I went into the house. Mrs. Maple was cooking and Mr. Maple was reading the newspaper. I greeted both of them and went upstairs to May's room.

"May you've got to listen to me! We can always buy Lays at the store!!!"

"What if they don't have the Indian magic masala flavour?"

"All the stores have that flavour.... Besides you could always do online shopping"

"But I want to spend my money for other items... Why buy when I have lots here?!"

"May I swear to God-"

"Alright no swearing!!!" I shouted interrupting their bickering.

"Leafyyyy~" May cooed as she came and hugged me.

"Misty is being mean and won't let me take snacks~"

I saw Misty with a blank expression from the corner of my eyes. She sure looked ready to throw May off the cliff.

"May, don't you think the chips you have are available everywhere? They're popular for a reason y'know" I said trying to reasonate.

"You're right! But still I'm packing the rest of the snacks in the car! Also I need to pack some in your bag too Mist!" She said as she dragged her trolley out to downstairs.

I stared at her amused. But what made me burst into laughter was Max's "Finally" and Misty's "Kill me right now" when May got into the car.

As long as I have these people around, I don't think I'll ever get into depression again.
