Riggins

Chapter Two

I narrowly escaped talking to Tim again after class, but only because of Jason. Jason became permanently paralyzed last year from the waist down so Tim usually walks with him after the students have all dispersed. I think Jason was Tim's only soft spot. He would do anything for his best friend and I did respect that deeply.

The rest of the day started to fly by until lunch.

"There she is." This boy doesn't quit.

I picked up a sandwich from the lunch line and moved on to drinks.

"Hello Tim. Here to get shot down again?" I asked.

"Ooooo, that burns. But you'll give in," he reached over my hand to get the Gatorade I was eyeing.

"Hey, that's the last red one," I huffed.

"Awww so sad. I need it Rae, football season," he winked taking a sip.

What was with this boy? Thanks to this body now I have to deal with the womanizer. I am never wearing this skirt again.

I paid for my food and went to find Julie and Tyra.

"They're with Jason," Tim chimed in behind me.

"Let me guess you're sitting there too," I gave a fake small and kept moving forward until I finally found them.

"Hey Ally, I think you've got a follower," Tyra laughed and pointed behind me.

I sat down, "it's more like a sad, sex driven puppy."

"But puppies are cute," he sat down next to me.

"Yes and Tim half the school thinks you are so why don't you go find them." Tyra said motioning to the cafeteria.

"Because I want this one," he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and I wiggled it off.

"Tim, I leave you alone for five minutes and you're harassing her again?" Jason asked rolling up to us.

"Hey, it's her butt," he bit his lip looking at me.

As much as I wanted to hate it, I really liked the way his bottom lip looked between his teeth. He ran his fingers through his hair standing up and my eyes followed him.

"Don't worry Rae," he leaned down again, "you'll get to do that soon."

My heart stopped for a spilt second realizing how obvious my staring was. Then I wanted to know if he meant his hair or his lip. I'd really like both. Wait, what am I saying? It's Tim Riggins! No way Ally.

"Ally, what the hell? Tim?" Julie whisper shouted at me.

"I didn't do anything! It's this damned skirt!" I looked down at it.

"No honey, it's what's filling it," Tyra laughed eating her lunch.

"Ughhhhh," I slouched over and put my table head to the table. Why me? I didn't want to fall victim to Tim Riggins. Even if falling into his arms would be nice.

The rest of the day and week went by pretty good. Classes were going smooth and only a couple of new people noticed me. The only thing really different was the random conversations with Tim. It was all shameless flirting and me shooting him down. Every once in a while though I would almost slip. He knew how to get under my skin. Mentally I didn't want him to get under my skin, but psychically my body gave in. My body wanted Tim to hold it close to his and just kiss me, but there's no coming back if I give in.

"So what are you wearing?" Tyra asked looking in her closet.

"This?" I motioned to my outfit that to her surprise I actually thought about. I had on an off the shoulder blue shirt, jeans, and my cowboy boots. I thought I looked good.

"I knew you would," she laughed and pulled out a tight tshirt, some shorts, and her cowboy boots.

"What's wrong with it?" I sat back down looking at my feet.

"You're the only girl I know to get all the goods and hide them right away."

"I didn't exactly want them, but Mother Nature said I was getting them."

"I know you don't want them, but Tim sure does."

I threw a pillow at her, "no way!"

"Awww come on, I know he's a womanizer, but maybe he'd be a good round?" she winked.

"I'm not looking just to have sex missy.  I want a boyfriend. The whole package deal and he won't give me that."

"I don't know, he seems like he's willing to put in the work."

"Julie would be mad," I stood up walking to the door.

"Julie's already drunk at the party, she can't say anything," Tyra laughed.
