***3 years later on fall break***
"I can't even been to express to you how excited I am to have midterms out of the way," I smiled big.
"I know Rae. Next semester it's all classroom," he grinned flipping the steaks.
"Assistant teacher for a whole semester. What if I get in there and the students all hate me?" I asked setting up the table.
"There's no way. They'll all be 6 years old and want all your cookies," he laughed plating the steaks.
"I can't just bring cookies to school Tim. That's a violation and I'd have to worry about allergies," I sat down at my seat.
"And that's why you're the teacher and I'm a builder," he grinned setting the food down and sitting next to me.
"Which by the way, when are you fixing our deck?" I asked cutting into my steak.
"When I get the chance," he winked and started eating.
"So never," I laughed eating.
"Don't push it ma'am," he winked.
"What am I pushing?" I laughed eating more.
"My limits. I'm already doing a lot for you," he put more in his mouth.
"What would that be?" I laughed taking a sip of water.
"Oh yeah I forgot," he got up quickly walking inside.
I continued eating until I felt a small tongue on my leg. I looked down to see the cutest little German Shepard puppy.
"Oh my god Tim!" I jumped up picking the puppy up.
"I figured our house needed another person in it," he smiled standing at the door.
I held the puppy close to my face smiling big. "He's so cute."
"Yes he is, but stating it right now he doesn't get all my kisses," he started to walk to me.
"Oh really? Because he's pretty cute and right now it looks like he will," I kissed his nose.
"I don't know. He didn't give you the best rock ever yet."
"The best rock?" I laughed. "Dogs find sticks not rocks."
"Sorry our dog likes rocks," he walked over and turned his collar over.
My heart stopped seeing a beautiful diamond ring laying along the collar. I couldn't even look up. I just kept staring at it, mesmerized in it all.
"Alyssa Rae, will you marry me and this adorable baby pup?" he smiled taking the ring off of his collar.
"Yes Riggins," I nodded so fast my head could have popped off.
He put it on my finger slowly and I put the dog down smiling. I don't think I've ever hugged someone as tight as I hugged Tim. In a matter of 4 years the bad boy of Dillon High School had become the man of my dreams. He had become the person that I wanted to wake up everyday to. He became by biggest supporter. He was my love and now he wanted to share his whole life with me.
I cupped his cheeks smiling.
"I love you Riggins," I smiled big.
"I love you more Rae."
He kissed me deeply holding me close to him.
As he pulled away he grinned, "or should I say Riggins?"
"Riggins sounds amazing," I blushed.
"Oh yeah I forgot," he walked back inside and came back out quickly with Stephanie, Jack, and my mom.
"You guys!" I jumped then practically ran into my moms arms.
"You're going to be a bride!" she yelled in my ear holding me as tight as she could.
"You're finally going to get that son," I smiled at her.
"Oh god, no babies yet though right?" she pulled me back looking at me.
I laughed, "no just a puppy."
She smiled and walked over to Tim and started to talk to him.
"So girl, now we have to plan a wedding," she smiled big.
"I know and I'm so excited," we both jumped around a little bit.
"Congrats girl," Jack hugged me tight.
"Thank you sir," I laughed. "Are you keeping him in line?"
"You know it," he laughed.
"So when is it your turn?" I asked winking at Jack.
"Soon," he winked back at her.
As I talked to them I couldn't help, but watch Tim. I'm going to marry him and I couldn't be happier about it.
