I walked out the front door, a light breeze grazed my bare legs as the sun started to set, leaving the area to be warm in tone. Looking at my phone I scrolled through posts on Instagram, I don't have too many followers, and the ones that i do are because of my parents or the few friends that I've made throughout the years. Looking up into the road I looked to see if they were here but to my disappointment they didn't seem to be near. Glancing around I let my mind drift back to the memory, it hurt to think about and it left me confused. Why would he do that to me? He's not supposed to hit me, I could understand maybe a slap and a trip to the hospital, but not that. Fiddling with the short grey sleek, silky dress I sighed.
"Well at least I look hot" I said glumly as my usual amount of self confidence seemed to disappear. Ever since I moved here I've noticed that I seem more like a drunk Middle Aged woman who kids hate her instead of the spunky hot shit that is my apparent former self. This fucking sucks, I just want to me again. In the midst of my inner angry rant I banged the back of my thin heel onto the concrete causing a little 'cut' sound to bounce into the world.
'Beep...'
My body gave a slight jerk as I looked up to see a light blue kind of silver car pull up. It didn't scream expensive but it didn't scream poor either, I think he's trying to hide what he's worth or how much he has. Walking over, I opened the back door and hopped in, my butt making a light thud noise as it hit the seat.
"Damn girl you look good" Amanda said is her usual out of place ghetto tone.
"I know" I said as I flamboyantly brushed a curly piece of hair out of my way to add some dramatic affect.
"Bitch get the fuck out, you crack me up! Like where the fuck do you get these clothes?!" She basically screamed completely ignoring Jeffrey.
"A true magician never reveals her secret"
"Bitch, I'll show you a secret" she said as she turned around waving her balled up fist in the air.
"Girl if you don't call the fuck down you're going to be ablaca-out of my car" Jeff decided to chime in bursting her very big bubble.
"Boy don't make me go over there!"
"Go where you're sitting right next to me?"
"Bitch I don't know" she waved her hands for some affect, her tan arms appearing from the sides of the seat, lightly crashing her arms against the window.
"So! What're we doing tonight?" I screamEd in attempt to get the two to stop arguing.
"Mmm, I was thinking the usual" Amanda said in a not so over dramatic tone.
"Yeah that sounds fine?" What the fuck is a usual? Do these people not understand I've only been here for like 2 weeks?
"Well it's a little early so how about we drive around for a bit... wait, actually... Red do you have a i.d?" Amanda said curiously as shot me a sly grin.
"I'm 16, what do you think?"
"Aww aren't you such a baby!" She cooed and I rolled my eyes in response.
"Well I think I know what we can do before we go back to Thrix, this hoe is getting her I.d" she jutted her thumb at me as she guffawed, the car being filled with the sound of her obnoxiously loud laugh instead of the upbeat edm music that blasted throughout the medium sized car.
What the hell does she mean by I.d? How the hell is she getting me an i.d? Isn't there more to this? I looked out the window the street lights started to flick on as we drove through some part of the town I didn't recognize. It doesn't seem like all to bad of an area,it seemed similar to the area where that club is, with brick building scouring the place. The buildings themselves weren't all too big, some being 1 level to about 5 stories, the average seemed to be 2 stories though. It doesn't seem like the type of area you'd expect a club to be, but if you looked around you wouldn't be able to not notice all the cars that line the narrow street. Leaning my head against the window I closed my eyes, ignoring the casual banter being exchanged by the two idiots in front of me. Like flash of an image, as soon as I closed my eyes something seemed to flash through mind, quickly causing me to open my eyes taking in a sharp quick breath of air. But it was so quiet, they didn't even notice. Looking down I scowled, that stupid scene keeps playing through my head as if it's permanently engraved in my thick head.
Out of nowhere my head quickly came in contact with the seat in front of me.
"Oof" I said loudly,
"Well that's what you get for sleeping"Jeffrey said sarcastically.
"I wasn't sleeping cunt, I was just resting my eye." I said bluntly
"Damn no need to be a dick about it."
"Mhmm"
"Alright ladies you're both ugly lets go" Amanda finally said, interrupting are oh so nice conversation.
Getting out of the car I lookEd at my phone 10:16 pm, hmm looks like I did fall asleep. Looking at the screen there was message
Mom: I hope you have keys or you're out for the night.
"What a bitch.." I mumbled, my hair falling in front of my tan face.
"Who you callin' a bitch?" Ananda questioned, finally getting a chance to see what she's wearing, I sighed. Her short hair is pin straight and her face is contoured to the max. A sparkly smokey eye made her small eyes pop and the deep, yet bright red lipstick made the whole look ten times more exaggerated. Her outfit was overall pretty simple, a black bralette that extended to the ribs, a pair of moderately high waisted jeans and to finish the look she has a pair of nude pointed thin heels. The look is pretty cute, Hell id wear it.
"my mother" I dead panned, an uneasy feeling wavered around me as the thought of her seeped into my head.
"Oh, well, you know what, fuck her. Have a good time and don't let some crusty ole bitch get in the way of us having fun."Amanda said in a abnormal tone as she lead the way into an alley. The alley isn't too dark, but strange Shadows cast through out the place giving it an uneasy look. As if to say don't come here, only danger lurks in these corners. But I like it, I like the feeling of being alone and having this solidarity, I feel free. Drifting more towards the back of the group i watched as we walked into a doorway. Like a typical cliche, amanda gave a series of taps on the door and a slide near the top opened, two dark eyes peered at us, amanda not liking the fact they couldnt tell who she was. She slapped at the dark eyes.
"Noah if you dont let me in..." she said a angered tone, quickly the door swung open and a
Guy somewhere around my age appeared. His dark curly hair covered his eyes and his white stained shirt is covered in grease.
"Oh h-hey amanda, what brings you around these parts?" he said curiously as if he was talking to a superior.
"I need a id" she stated as she walked passed him, us quickly in tow behind the apperently powerful woman.
"Y-y-yeah whatever you need." he mummled out in a rush. I looked around, the apartmetn wasnt lit well and the only light that casted through is a lamp sitting on round table with 3 people playing poker. Its so dirty and sketchy, Who willingly comes here and enjoys it? Stepping around the clutter i followed them into the kitchen, where there was a stool and table that yet again, had a lamp. It seems we're in a kitchen, a very small and dirty kitchen. I look down at Amanda, feeling my eyes looking at her she turned.
"So sit there and put this on and and put your hair up." She handed me a t-shirt and scrunchy, pulling my hair up into a high pony tail that hurt more than I ever thought a pony tail could.
"Holy shit, how fucking thick is your hair?!" She obnoxiously yelled as tried to twist the scrunchy around my hair.
"Pretty thick"
"Well no shit"
Ignoring the rest of what she had to say I pulled the t shirt over my short dress, sometimes I wonder why I get myself into situations like this. Heaving a sigh I smiled as he took a picture with his phone.
"All I need is 5 minutes and we should be good"Noah muttered as he walked over to an old desktop computer. Sighing I stared at my phone, this place is a little too dodgy for my own comfort and I'm not sure if I want to get too acquainted with these people. You'd think they were in gang or something if you saw them on the street, with sleeves and random face tattoos making appearance. Even the shy looking Noah has tattoos all over him. I kind of feel bad, he seems to sweet to be in this kind of shit.
"Here ya go girl, look at you, I mean seriously for a 27 year old you look hot!" Amanda quickly blurted out her hand making a loud whack as it came in contact with my butt. Spooked by all the sudden movement I jumped and the only way I could play it off was by making it look like I was trying to take my hair out. Taking the I.d out of her hand Ifelt around for my small blue cross body bag, bit of course I was only met with the feeling of a cotton t-shirt.
"Whoops" I said in high pitched voice, quickly pulling the t-shirt off but of course when I looked straight ahead of me only to find the bright red face of Noah staring me down. Raising an eyebrow I looked at him suspiciously and in return he quickly looked away, to embarrassed to continue his creepy stare fest. I don't think any girl likes to be ominously stared at, but I think if I challenge the look they'll look away. It's worked most of the time, but the others usually ended in a sticky situation, and not the good kind.
"Well that looks like our que" Jeffrey said as he started towards the door, Amanda following tow and I still not getting the subconscious messages following a minute later after noticing they were leaving. As soon as we were in the alley way, Amanda quickly started to run, screaming in a weird delighted way like you'd do in a warm and heavy rain. Deciding to join her I ran along with her, screaming about nothing and everything, and more importantly trying not to trip in my pointy shoes.(Like comment share)
