Glancing down at my not so clean outfit, I scratch at my chin. What am I going to wear; it's not too often that I get asked out on a date... my grin growing even wider and the thought. Moving my hand from chin, I reached up and unlatched my hair from my head. The hair weighs heavy as normal, but im immune to it.
"hm." I hum curtly as the idea pops into my head. I could just go out and buy clothes.
"Why didn't I think about that in the first place, I'm such an idiot?"
Shifting the car into drive, I drove off. The headlights reflect off the ground, making the dark world, and I, ready for an adventure. It's not too late, only 8:45 P.M and I'm ready to take on the world. We scheduled the date for 9:30, and it totally wasn't due to the fact that I don't have an outfit.
Driving off onto the highway, I drove until I reached an exit that said Hattown Mall, California. I hope this place is still open. Pulling into the parking lot, I parked a parking spot that's a little tight and got out. Patting my jeans off, I scuffed my feet on the gravel ground. Letting out a sigh, I trekked into the lightly crowded mall.
"fuck me," I mummble as I stare at the over price stores. "I was only hoping to spend two hundred, not five thousand. My wallet" I whinned painfully as carressed my wallet in my back pocket. That might have looked a little a weird.
Making face, I walked into a relatively 'cheaper' store in the mall. Flipping the tag on a print shirt, I nearly cry at the two hundred dollar price tag.
"is there something I can help you with miss?" I jumped as a woman taller than me approached. Her natrual blonde hair pulled high into a bun.
"uh no thankyou" I spoke meek at the woman.
If I show any sign of cheap, she'll kick me out. turning back to the shirt, I glared at it. For two hundred bucks it could be a little nicer. Deciding I have already seen enough, I walked out. I don't understand why he planned it so quick? Couldn't he have given me a little longer than two-something odd hours?
Sighing, I walked into a notoriously known luxury store.
"how may we help you miss? Could I interest you in champagne?" a tall man with dark brown hair spoke.
"uh no thankyou, and you know what, I would actually. I need a dress, something nice but not too nice. You feel me?" i hand gestured the entire statement to him. Effectively getting the point across of, me wanna dress nice, across.
"of course, we currently are introducing our wintour collection and are fall items are currently discounted. But if you're looking for a date night then I recommed some of our new dresses."
Following the man I watch as he points out new, and bizarrely shaped dresses. Pulling out a few more, I decide that they're simply too ugly or, they clash with my hair. Which is what I call a big 'no no.' staring glum I watch as we next move on to jumpers and rompers. Desperately he reaches for a gray, pin-striped jump suit. With a desperate smile he turns to me.
"this one of our new releases, made with a very high quality linen." Contemplating, I anaylezed it, seems about the right size and all.
"mm sure can I try it on firs-"
"of course, follow me."
Shaking my head in miff I quickly followed after him. His long legs running quick as I brickly waddle to keep up with him. I think he wants me out. I thought quick, as Im jammed into a brightly lit dressing room. quickly undressing, quickly jammed my foot into the jumpsuit. Nearly tripping when my leg gets caught in the taught fabric. Eventually, I maganged to pull up the mildly tight suit, zipping it up I sighed at the slimness of my body. There's still something off, but it doesn't look bad.
