Minkie watched the sleeping form of the young filly, it had been almost three hours but this wasn't the time to sleep. They needed to keep moving, as the guards were hot on their trail, her ears flickered to the sound of the other baker's chattering. Besides moving, what were they to do with a foal?

" Should leave her at some orphanage?" Applebloom asked only for Blinkie to shake her head in disagreement. "She's a witness now, we can't just leave her somewhere and expect her not to talk!" Inkie stepped in "She might be too traumatized to speak, besides if we take her with us she'll be dead weight! it's best to leave her in the care of somepony else."  Pinkie turned her head to the steps once a quiet voice spoke up. "What's the problem with having her with us?"

The rest of the bakers turned their heads to the dark stairway leading upstairs to see their fellow sister/friend standing there. Babs spoke up, "After everything that's happened, it's best she goes to somepony else or.." Minkie stepped forward, "It wouldn't be wise to leave her with somepony else, it would be just plain cruel if we were to make her into some pastries."

"Then what do you suggest we do?" Inkie asked cocking her head. "We'll take her with us,We'll give her a family she deserves. We can teach her to run, to defend herself should we run into any problems." Derpy spoke up "We can loves her like.. a.. Mini Minkie! She does look like Minkie!" Babs chuckled "true, she does look like minkie." Pinkie interrupted "We should! I mean we can't leave her by herself! Let alone having her end up in some awful home!"

The conversation continued, until all agreed. Coal Dust was to come with them, the bakers packed that night; Leaving with only what they could carry and a small sleeping filly. As Minkie snuck away with the others into the night, she couldn't help but look at Coal dust whom slept on her back. 'we'll have the childhood we deserve' she thought to herself catching up to the others.

In the early dawn, they found their new temporary hideout. An old daycare center, left abandoned by ponies for many years. Inside was littered wit garbage and old toys, filling all noses with the disgusting scent of rotten food. "Looks like nopony cleaned up in here." Blinkie muttered. Each pony putting down their saddle-bag.

Minkie slowly put the sleeping filly down on  small pile of abandoned pillows before trotting off.
