A MONTH BEFORE THE ACCIDENTPART THREE: 12:40 pm
IT DIDN'T HELP TO CALM YOONGI'S RACING HEART WHENEVER MIAA OFFERED HIM HER NUMBER.
When he asked her why she wanted to give it to him, Miaa simply smiled and said, "How else am I supposed to get in contact with you?".
No girl had ever offered him a second glance much less a first which made Yoongi question why Miaa wanted to get to know him so badly.
What are your motives?
He gave her his phone nonetheless and watched her type her number in. She took a quick selfie and handed him his phone back right as the bell rang.
She stood and left without a second thought.
Yoongi stared down at his phone and felt a small smile itch its way onto his lips.
She had changed his background to her selfie. Her smiling face and mischievous golden eyes lit up the screen every time he would turn it on now.
He found himself not caring.
Yoongi picked up his belongings and walked out of the class, heading to the front of the school where he sat down on the bench waiting for the bus to arrive in boredom.
He placed his headphones onto his head just as the bus arrived.
Boarding the bus he paid for the fare and found a seat a little ways away from the door. There wasn't many people on the bus, but it didn't mean that the noise level was any lower.
Yoongi turned his music up and leaned back into his seat with a sigh. Today had not gone at all as planned. He was supposed to blend into his surroundings, not cause any kind of attention to be directed at him.
He was supposed to---.
His headphones were removed from his head forcing him to reconnect with reality and leave is turbulent thoughts for later.
"You know tuning the world out doesn't make it disappear." Miaa said taking the empty spot beside him.
He frowned as he placed his headphones back around his neck and turned off his music.
"Are you following me now?" He asked and she laughed causing the people around them to gaze at her in admiration and envy. Yoongi understood for even he envied her light that shinned so brightly among them.
"You honestly think I would follow you?" She asked biting her lip.
Yoongi suddenly felt very foolish. "Well, why else would you ride the bus?" He could feel his ears heat up—no doubt they were as red as a tomato now.
Her smile fell briefly. "Nathan was my ride but since we broke up..." she trailed off and Yoongi easily put the pieces together.
"But why this bus?" He asked still not believing that this was a coincidence. He didn't believe in those.
She tilted her head and smirked. "You really don't give up do you." She said more as a statement than a question.
