EIGHTEEN DAYS BEFORE THE ACCIDENT6:00 am
IT HAD BEEN A FULL TWO WEEKS BEFORE MIAA DECIDED TO COME BACK TO SCHOOL.
He frowned as Miaa threw her head back and laughed at something Bella had said. Bella, Namjoon, and Miaa were all sitting together in the cafeteria chatting away as if Miaa hadn't dissapeared for two weeks without a word to anyone, or at least not a word to Yoongi.
Yoongi could hardly believe the whispers that had erupted this morning whenever Miaa had entered the school. Yoongi had been at his locker, getting his books whenever she walked in. He had thought that she would at least glance at him, acknowledge him but she didn't.
She walked right past him and smiled at her group of friends.
By third period everyone knew about Miaa's little trip to the Bahamas. Apparently her family and her had been celebrating someone's birthday and that that was why she was gone for so long, and was why her hair had been cut close to her ears. 'It was hot' Miaa had said nonchalantly whenever someone would ask about it.
Yoongi still didn't believe his eyes as she sat just a few tables away from him, laughing and being as charismatic as ever. Then again the last time he had seen her she was a wreck.
He ran a hand through his hair as Miaa smiled and glanced briefly over shoulder to where he sat. Yoongi unknowingly straightened his posture and smiled. He was about to raise his hand and wave, but a soft voice stopped him.
"Can I sit here?"
Yoongi broke eye contact with Miaa and turned his head, looking up at the small mystery girl from before. She was dressed in a knee-length dress with a pair of sandals adorning her feet. Her long tresses were up in a high ponytail.
Yoongi blinked as she shifted on her feet. "Oh. Um sure." He finally said and the girl sat beside him, placing her bag onto the floor.
She smiled at him. "I'm Hana, Hana Lee." She said and Yoongi nodded cooly. "I'm Yoongi, Min Yoongi." He said turning to glance at Miaa who was now watching the two with a blank face.
"I um had been meaning to talk to you for a while. I even had to prep myself up before I came over here." She said nervously. Yoongi glanced breifly back to the small girl sitting beside him and nodded stiffly. "I'm uh flattered?" He said and Hana flushed looking down at her hands. "Cool. So I was wondering if mabye we could---"
"Aloha, guys." Miaa said cheerfully, placing her arm around Yoongi's shoulders. He tensed and glanced up at Miaa with a look of questioning in his eyes. "Hey babe." Miaa said pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek.
Yoongi froze completely and could only manage a small smile. To be honest, he was lost and confused. One minute she was acting like he was some creep stranger, and the next she acted like they were dating.
"Sorry for not calling you but my phone was taken away. Family rules." She said smiling a dazzling smile toward a very angry Miaa. "I'm Miaa Yoongi's girlfriend and you are?" She asked innocently but Yoongi could hear the threat in her words.
Wait did she say what I think she said?
Yoongi stared at the light skinned beauty and couldn't do anything at all. Words failed him as she continued to speak with Hana about something, but he couldn't hear anything. It was like he had gone deaf and numb to everything around him, everything except her.
Miaa turned to him with a smile and said something. I raised his eyebrows and blinked rapidly. "What?" He asked looking between the two girls one laughing and the other sat silent. "I said are you coming with me to my house after lunch?" She asked tilting her head so that the light caught her eyes, putting Yoongi under a trance. He nodded and shoved his hands into his pockets.
"Why don't we leave now." He said smiling. Miaa pulled away with a bright smile on her face. "Really. Right now." She said her eyes roaming his face. Yoongi nodded.
Just then a loud screech was heard. Yoongi turned and watched Hana walk away from the table, not even looking back. He felt somewhat responsible for what had happened. He stilled found himself thinking why he didn't just go with Hana. Yoongi asked himself why he wouldrather be with someone who would only hurt him over someone who would have cherished him.
Miaa grabbed his arm and yanked him from his feet, pulling him out of the cafeteria and into the hall. They didn't stop at their lockers like last time, and whenever Miaa handed Yoongi the helment he didn't ask questions.
Soon they were both zooming through traffic downtown. Not once stopping, not even for traffic. Yoongi didn't care. The only words going through his mind were that Miaa was his girl. And she was his.
Miaa stopped finally after hours of driving and turned off her bike. Yoongi got off of the motorcycle and placed the helmet into Miaa's hands, glancing around at their surroundings.
They were parked outside a mall. He raised a brow whenever Miaa smiled and took his hand. "Have you ever been shopping before?" She asked him and he shook his head not being able to form any type of words. Her smile widened. "Well you are today. And don't worry about the cost, everything is on me." She said reaching into her back pocket and pulling out a platinum card.
Yoongi tilted his head to the side. "Where--"
"Shush. It's my stepdads card. I stole it from his wallet." She said placing the card back into her pocket and winking. "He won't miss it anyways. And besides I'm sure we could by an entire island and it still wouldn't put even a scratch in his account." She said pulling Yoongi into the store.
Yoongi followed after, happy to see that she was happy.

YOONGI SHOOK HIS HEAD AS MIAA CAME OUT OF THE DRESSING ROOM, MODELING A BLACK V-NECK VINTAGE DRESS.
He had to admit though that even in this she looked stunning. She gave him one of her dazzling smiles and turned slowly. "I think I look like a princess." She said overly tilting her head into the air and walking stupidly. Yoongi laughed and shook his head. "I think you look ridiculous." He said biting back a smile as she rolled her eyes. "I look absolutely fabulous in anything." She said striking a pose and Yoongi couldn't really argue with that.
She went back into the dressing room, probably to try something else on and Yoongi ran a hand through his hair.
They had went to every store in this mall, including the kid stores which Yoongi thought was a little bit weird that two teens were in a kid store goofing off, but Miaa assured him that she did this kind of thing all the time.
This store was actually their last one and then they would be going to some secret place that Miaa said had the best view in the entire city. Yoongi looked at the few bags they had and frowned, realising that they wouldn't have anywhere to put them.
Miaa came out with a number of dresses and shoes in her hands. "We're buying all of this." Yoongi asked scratching his head and Miaa nodded. She placed the things on the ringout belt whenever the price was named Yoongi physically winced.
But Miaa acted as if it wasn't even nothing. She swiped his card and that was that. The woman smiled and handed them their bags."Would you like me to call someone to deliver you things, Miss?" The cashier asked and Miaa nodded.
"Come on the mall is going to close soon." She said tugging onto Yoongi's arm until he went along with her. He knew that her family had money but this, this was a lot. Miaa glanced back at him and stopped in the middle of the near closed mall. "My mom co-owns this mall." She said and Yoongi nodded. He guessed he'd have to get used to this since he was her boyfriend now.
Yoongi followed her out into the vacant parking lot and got onto her bike once more, although this time riding with her felt different. Mabye it was the chilly night wind or mabye it was because Yoongi finally realised that this, whatever this was, wouldn't last.
He would leave after graduation and she would stay, probably marry some rich prick with a white Colgate smile and orange skin. Yoongi shivered and pushed the thoughts from his mind. For now he would live in the now, not in the future or the past.
