Chapter 52 : Time will tell

Grayson's P.O.V :

I was not in the right state of mind . April can't marry Derek. She just can't and I will never allow it . She can hate me all she wants but the whole marriage thing ; it has to be stopped .

I know that Derek isn't the perfect guy for April . I'm not saying that I'm a saint because I'm not , I've made mistakes . Yes but I've over came them . I learned my lesson . Honestly .. It's time for April to know the truth .

As I got up from bed , I noticed that Cameron was packing his bags .

"Cameron what are you doing ?"
"We are leaving ."
"What about the festival ?"
"I have way too many things on my mind right now, I can't stay in Coachella any longer ."

I nodded my head and packed my bags as well . We then kindly asked Jack Gilinsky to give us a ride to the airport .

before we were attended for our flight , I immediately called Ethan.

"Hello?"
"Ethan!"
"What Grayson."
"I'm going back to L.A."
"And why is that ?"
"Cameron didn't want to stay at Coachella anymore ."
"Oh."
"Have you talked to April?"
"Grayson why do you care so much about her ?"
"I want her to be happy ! Derek isn't the one for her !"
"Oh and you think your a perfect candidate ?"
"Ethan please here me out!"
"you got Delany pregnant !"

I turned to Cameron who was on his phone watching Netflix .

I gave him a sign that I was gonna go to the bathroom . As I moved away from Cameron , I continued to talk to Ethan .

"Ethan seriously , I have to tell you something , something that no one knows ."
"What? Did you get someone else pregnant ?"
"No!"
"Then what ! Seriously I'm about to hang up on you !"
"The baby isn't mine ."
"What? What do you mean the baby isn't yours ? Are you taking about Delany's baby?"
"It's not mine dude ."
"Your just making shit up , all because y-"
"It's Cameron's baby ."
"What!"
"I'm sorry , I should've said something earlier ."
"Grayson ! Stop fucking with me ! This can't be true!"
"It's true ! Delany and Cameron hooked up one night without Haylie knowing , and just like that .. She became pregnant . Delany spoke to me of the incident that happened and I felt bad because I didn't want to see Haylie heartbroken if she found out that Cameron knocked up Delany , so I took the blame for it ."
"So you made yourself look bad ! Grayson your an idiot ! You still could've been with April ! Omg your .. Ugh I don't even know what to say ! Delany and Cameron ! Are you serious ? And you took the blame ?!??"
"I know ..."
"Wait so does like Cameron know about this ?"
"What? That the baby is his ? No he doesn't ."
"Dammit Grayson ! You do know what's going to happen !?"
"Break ups .."
"Yea !"
"I want to tell April this .."
"No don't !"
"Why!"
"I think it would be better if I spoke with her about this ."
"Why you ?"
"Because Grayson ! I'm like April's best friend ."
"Do you think she would want to even hear about it ?"
"Oh trust me , do you think she wouldn't want to ? She loved you Gray, you can tell , I remember from that night . She really did love you . She may still love you as well ."
"I don't want to get my hopes up , besides she's engaged . I can't do much about it ."
"Don't act like Derek is much of a saint , every guy has secrets ."
"So your saying Derek is a cheater ?"
"No . What I'm trying to say is ; you don't know what happens behind closed doors ."

April's P.O.V :

It was sometime around 10:30 a.m. I awoke from the bright sun beaming onto my face . I got up from the couch and made my way up stairs . I went into izzy's room and found Aaliyah safe and sound .

She was awake , just laying there on the bed . The minute she saw me , she got very excited . I never knew becoming a mom would be so heart warming .

"Did she ever wake up last night ?" I asked izzy
"Not at all , she was knocked out the whole night ."
"hey uhm have you seen Derek ?"
"no I haven't actually ."
"I didn't even notice he was gone , until now .."
"Call him ."

I grabbed Aaliyah and went downstairs . I went inside the kitchen and grabbed my phone from the counter .

Why wasn't Derek answering his phone ?

"Hello?"
"Hey where are you ?"
"Babygirl I'm sorry , I'm at the studio right now ."
"And you couldn't tell me further in advance ?"
"I'm sorry , I'll see you in a bit yea ?"

I hung up the phone . I didn't know whether I should be upset with him or not . I'm simply ignored it .

I went through the cupboard and grabbed some Gerber. Hopefully Aaliyah loves apples . Wait who doesn't like apples ? Grayson l- ... what am I saying ? why did I say h- you know what .. never mind.

I sat Aaliyah in Deliaha's high chair and began to feed her . She's so adorable !

"Here comes the choo choo train."

Aaliyah opened her mouth full of joy . Man .. this baby is going to teach me a lot of things .

After Aaliyah was done , she grew very sleepy . I mean damn .. she eats and now she falls asleep? Aaliyah really must be my child .. 

I laid her on the couch and slowly pat her on the back until she fell asleep .

As I laid next to her , I decided to go on Twitter , before I could pay attention to it , I got a phone call .

Ethan💙 is calling...

I immediately picked it up .

"Hello?"
"Hey April !"
"What's up Ethan?"
"What are you doing right now ?"
"I'm with my daughter ."
"You brought her home already ?!?"
"Yes!"
"Dude you gotta let me see her!"
"I know .. but I don't think it would be a great idea if I were to go to the house."
"Honestly April , fuck them .. They can't see that your happy .. I mean i already told off Cameron and Gray."
"Did you really?"
"Yes."
"Well April , the reason I called is because ..."
"What is it?"
"It's about Grayson ."
"Ethan I don't k-"
"Please .. He has to tell you something and I think you would want to hear about it ."
"Fine .. I'll come over to the house and we will talk then ."
"Anyways how's .. Shit what's your baby's name?"
"Aaliyah."
"Awh!!"
"Yea she just ate right now , and dude she's obsessed with apples ! well applesauce ."
"who doesn't love apples ? Grayson is in love with apples !"
"Funny story , while I was feeding Aaliyah apples I thought of Grayson ." I said quietly

It got very quiet .

"April?"
"Mhm."
"You okay ?"
" I don't know .."
"What's going on between you and Derek?"
"We're going great , it's just that he left this morning he left to the studio without telling me .."
"Everything is going to be fine , don't think so much about it ."
"I know , but I don't understand why I thought of Grayson?"
"Only time will tell ."
