Chapter 40 : Back 2 Back

April's P.O.V :

Yes I went back to Derek. It will and has been only Derek. I love him . He's my soulmate . Yes I had Grayson but, Derek makes me feel different .

There's no boundaries between us . I can be myself around him and he loves me .

My heart froze when he opened the front door . I know he was confused .

"April.. You came back ."

I didn't even hesitate to look at him , I just hugged him . Tears started rolling down my face .

"Derek I'm sorry ."
"What are you sorry for ?" He said lifting up my chin
"Everything okay. For me leaving you , and fucking with your feelings ."
"Baby you don't have to apologize."

He then noticed my suitcase .

"What's the suitcase for?"
"Can we not talk about that for right now ."
"Uhm sure , come in ."

I went inside of Derek's house . The last time I was here , was when I caught Grayson cheating on me .

How am I going to tell Derek about his sister being pregnant .

"So uh how are you and Grayson."
"Grayson?"
"Yea isn't that your boyfriends name ."
"Derek he's not my boyfriend anymore ."
"Wha- Oh- April I'm so sorry I didn't mean t-"
"Derek it's fine ... It doesn't matter anyways ."

I sat on the couch and just sat there hopelessly .

"You okay April?"
"No." I said while tearing up."
"Why baby what's wrong ?"
"I'm sorry for everything ! I should've never left you Derek ! You are everything to me ! I love you !"

Derek was speechless .

"Do you mean that?"
"Yes."
"Like dead ass ?"

I laughed at the thought of it .

"Bitch If i say it ! I mean it!."

"Derek why are you staring at me like that ?"
"April do you really mean it ?"

"Yes I want you to be honest wit me! I don't want you to just come and be like I love you and then a week later say you love Grayson !"

"But that's what you did to me last time and that shit hurt deep !"

Derek's P.O.V :

Damnit man .. I hate when April calls me by my middle name . She says it on purpose too.. She knows how it makes me feel . Weak.

It makes me feel soft . Nigga I ain't no soft dude . But man April did some typa shit to me that it doesn't matter to me .

"April stop."
"What?"
"You know how I get when you call me that ."
"Derek James Luh!"
"April..."
"James!"

It makes my heart feel odd . Seriously April did some voodoo typa shit cuz dude this don't fucking feel right .

"April don't lie to me ."
"I'm not."
"Do you love me yes or no."
"Yes , yes I do love you."

I couldn't believe this was real . Yo man does this mean I have my girl back ?

I stood up and went behind April and wrapped my arms around her neck .

"Does this m-"

She looked at me with pure happiness .

"yes Derek . It's actually happening ."

My mind was full of thoughts . I never imagined myself having a kid at 16 . I was still shocked .

"Baby are you okay ?"
"Yea I'm okay it's just that .. I don't know if I'm going to be a good parent ."

Derek eyes softened .

"April don't say that . Your such an amazing chick ! Your gonna be a bomb ass mom ! A hot one too!"
"Derek.."
"Dude Imma slap you if you sa-"
"Finish that sentence and I will find your weed and throw it out ."
"You wouldn't ."
"And why do you say that James!"
"Because !"
"Because why!"
