I sat on my reading room for god knows how long. All I did was stare on the wall as my mind wandered to the girl who was getting ready in my room with the help of Mrs. Song. I should be overjoyed right now, but surprisingly I was not. Sure, I was glad she was finally here with me, where I was sure she would be safe, as long as she stayed behind these walls. Any kind of Supernatural being could be classified as stupid if they were to enter the Vampire realm without any authorisation from the King. Either that, or they simply wanted to start war.

With that being said, I knew I could protect her now with my own abilities but that was not what I was concerned about.

Her eyes, when I saw her, shone of anger, fear, and the thing that I despised the most, she saw me as an enemy, one that she should never trust when I was far from that. I was expecting such reactions from her, but I was never ready for any of it.

She was my mate, if any, I should be the one to keep her from any danger. But in this rate, I doubt she would be letting me in any time soon. I faced this situation in her every fucking life and I was really tired of it. I had to strain myself from marking her right there and the dark side of me was not really happy about it. I do not know how long I could keep my fangs to myself anymore.

I sighed, long and hard. My fingers curled into my hair and tugged on it a bit. Self-resistance, it was a bit hard now that she was right here without any Fate complications.

I guess it will be fine as long as you do not push a mark on her.”

What did she meant by ‘I guess’? That fucking Seeress. She did not just did everything based on her presumption, no? If anything happened to Yuna…

The clock on the wall chimed and it brought me back from my reverie. I stood up. It was time to meet my beloved.

I took my time walking the hallway to my wing, all the while trying to chain the monster in me from getting too excited. When I arrived in front of my door, I took a lungful of her scent and it instantly erased all the worries in my head, but then it left me craving for more. I let out a small grumble and kept it to myself before opening the door to my room.

There she was, laying on my bed, breathing steadily.

“Your highness.” The woman who was tucking her in bowed. She followed my gaze and she nodded understandingly.

“She was really tired, so I put her to sleep. She need the rest.”

I sighed. I was really looking forward to meeting her again. But I trusted Mrs. Song’s judgement in this. After all, healing was her best ability. So I nodded in gratitude.

“Youngbae, I am not going to disapprove of what you are doing, nor am I going to tell you that what you’re doing is wrong. I’m sure you reckoned what’s good for you,” She looked at her, “or her. I didn’t know what makes this possible...” I knew she was referring to me and Yuna being in the same room without being condemned by the Fates. “But I have a hunch that this has to do with the young Seeress.”

She sighed. “Youngbae-ah, I have taught you about the Moon’s will, no?”

I froze and gave a curt nod. Like the other Princes, we had our own Royal Maid to nurse us, and when we were big enough we would return to the Palace and learn the way of Royalties. But I was born during the Great War and when I met my mother, it was the only time I knew I had parents.

Mrs. Song stepped up as my nurse and personal tutor, and I was glad she did. I learnt from the very best.

“And I sure did tell you how things should go Her way, or there’ll be consequences, no?”

I moved to the bed and she stepped back, giving me a way as I now stood beside Yuna’s sleeping form. I felt her eyes on my and I reached out and softly touched Yuna’s cheek, brushing on her hair. All the time, Mrs. Song studied us, there was no doubt that she was surprised that no life was taken for a single touch that I put on Yuna. I did not blame her for expecting blood and pain whenever Yuna and I were in the same room, because she had seen it countless of times where both of us were tortured in each other’s existence. Not the best sight.

“I know. But I can’t be part from her anymore. It is her seventh life, and you know what happens next.” I whispered and Mrs. Song nodded. “She’ll perish.”

“I am so sorry child, you don’t deserve this…” She looked at Yuna and smiled sadly. “She didn’t too.” She shook her head and sighed, gathering Yuna’s dirty clothes and brought it out.

“Make sure you feed her again when she wakes up. I’ll prepare some food, so just link me up.”

I nodded and she closed the door, leaving me alone with my mate.

I sat beside her on the bed and leaned closer to place a chaste kiss on her forehead.

She looked just the same, same raven hair that fell just below her shoulders and that red plump lips. The only difference that she had bangs on her first life, giving a youthful feeling on her appearance. Now she looked the same, but mature, as if life was constantly giving her lesson.

“You don’t remember me, Yuna, but it is okay. I’m going to make you fall for me. We’ll be together again, I promise.”

It was just then that I felt something tapping at the back of my head. I raised the block, and let the link in.

“Hyung, it’s TOP. He’s back.”
