                            (Monday morning...At Jason's house)

(Gloria knocks on Jason's bedroom door)

"Jase, its time to get up and get ready for school", said Grandma

(Jason) Damn I hate to get up, but I guess I have no other choice.

" Yes ma'am ", I said

" Breakfast will be waiting for you when u get downstairs ", Grandma said

" Yes ma'am "

Before I went to bed last night, I got my school clothes and shoes and socks and boxers together and laid them on my dresser so I wouldn't have to sort through shit like I usually do.

When I got out the shower, I walked back into my room and I put my clothes on. When I was finished, I grabbed my phone and my backpack and I walked downstairs.

"Good morning baby, did you sleep well?", asked Grandma

" Yes ma'am I did"

"Well breakfast is on the table. Gon in there and eat"

"Yes ma'am"

I walked into the dinning room and saw bacon, sausage, grits, pancakes, eggs with cheese, and orange juice.  I sat down at the table and fixed me a plate.  All of a sudden, I heard the front door open. It was Josh. What the hell is he doing over here so early?

"Good morning Gramps"

(Josh kisses Gloria on the cheek)

"Good morning Joshua. What you want this early?"

"I came over cause you said we had to talk with Jase about what happened last week"

Damn I knew this day was coming. I just didn't know when it was going to occur. These past couple of days have been great. Now all of that might be erased if this conversation goes sour.

Both of them walked into the dinning room and sat at the table and fixed them something to eat.

"Wassup lil bro", said Josh

" Sup"

"Do you mind if we have a lil conversation before you go to school?"

"What's it about?"

"Everything that went down last week. I know you probably don't wanna talk about it, but I think we can get through this if we talk about it."

"Well speak"

"Imma start off with the whole finding you were adopted revelation. You know Mom and Dad loved you with everything they had in them. They gave us everything our hearts desired. They were good people with good hearts. Hell we barely even got our ass whooped. They provided us with a good home, food, clothes, toys, games, but most importantly, love. I know this is not what you wanna hear early this morning. I haven't really been sleeping good because of the way we left things. You know I love to the moon and back. Now that mom and dad are gone, I feel like its my responsibility to step in and take up their slack."

Then Grandma decided to cut in and speak

"Jase, your mom and dad were going to tell you about all of this on your 18th birthday. In the event that something might happen, they had those letters and pictures from your biological parents. Truth be told, Sandra was scared."

"Scared of what?", I asked

" Scared of losing you. She figured that if you found out about your real parents, then you wouldn't love her or Dan anymore."
