I waited anxiously outside of the principal's office. My leg shook rapidly and I stood up to pace around. What happened to Louis? Is he okay? I thought.

Suddenly the door opened. I ran over and hugged the guy without even looking.

"Louis! Are you okay?" I asked.

"What the hell, bitch," growled a voice. I looked up and saw it was Eric, not Louis.

"Oh, uh...my...my bad," I stuttered. This moment just got severely awkward.

"You're right, your bad! You got me frickin suspended! Thanks to you and your little lover boy, I'm out for two weeks," he pushed passed me angrily.

I didn't know what to say. I just stood there with my mouth hanging open, dumbly.

"Oh, and tell him he better watch out," Eric added with a smirk as he walked away.

I sat down in the chair and put my head in my hands. What have I done? It's my second day at school in London and I already have an enemy, not to mention I practically got him suspended. But then again, it's not my fault he's a dick. He didn't have to go and punch Louis. Now that I think about it, I actually feel happy that he got suspended. Good for him.

The door creaked open and I lifted my head. "Louis?" I didn't want to make the same mistake as last time.

"Hey, Nikki," he attempted a smile.

"Oh my gosh! What happened? Are you okay?" I surveyed his face. He nose was bruised and there was dried bood caked around it.

"I'm fine," he looked away, obviously embarassed.

"Are you sure? You don't look fine..." I asked with concern.

"Yeah, it's just a little blood," he tried to laugh.

"No, it's not a just a little blood! He could've broke your nose!"

"Nikki, I'm okay! God, you're so pushy. Just mind your own business," he snapped.

I opened my mouth to say something, then closed it. The sudden outburst of Louis was surprising.

"Oh...um, well I guess I'll just see you later then," I said softly, walking away.

I heard him coming behind. "Wait, Nikki," he pulled my arm. I turned around, waiting expectantly. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be rude, it's just Eric just pisses me off," he said apologetically.

"I-it's okay," I sighed.

"I guess I'll see you around then."

"Yeah, okay," I started walking away.

"Wait, Louis," I stopped.

"Yeah?"

"Thank you," I replied softly.

"For what?" he asked, confused.

"For standing up for me."

He smiled. "No problem."

I smiled back and walked away.

Louis' POV

I can't believe I just got freaking suspended. Who the hell would suspend the guy with the bloody nose and bruised cheek? Principal Drew damn Miller, that's who. At least I'm only out for one week, while Eric has two. Well, that's not my problem. The idiot deserved it. I didn't deserve a suspension. But, of course, being me, I got it.

I couldn't tell Nikki, of course. I don't know what she'd say, or think. She'd probably overreact and do whatever girls do in a situation like this.

But why would I care what she'd think? No. Not thinking about that right now...But then again that last conversation of ours was...was what?  I kind of acted like a dick. But I was pissed off, what do u expect? Hey, at least I apologized, right? She seemed fine after that. Did she? She thanked me for standing up for her, that's gotta count for something.

I was interrupted from my thoughts by a light voice.

"Mr. Tomlinson, shouldn't you be in class?" The librarian, Ms. Clark, peered over the top of her glasses and looked at me.

"Oh, um...I was just going home," I replied and gathered up my books.

"Home? Already? It's only 10 'o clock," she asked suspisciously.

This lady is seriously nosy.

"Yes, I am going home. And there is a note for all my teachers," I said through gritted teeth, getting impatient. "Is that going to be a problem?"

"Hm. I see. No problem, Mr. Tomlinson. Have a great day," she smiled fakely, put her chin up, and walked away.

What a little...

"Hey, Lou, what's up, man?" Another voice came up beside me. I rolled my eyes.

What is with today and people irritating the hell out of me?

"Hey, Zayn. What's up," I said in a monotone voice.

"Leaving early today?" He asked. I panicked. Did he know about my suspension?

"Um, what?"

He gestured at my bags. Phew, he didn't know. "Oh, um right, yah I have, uh, family stuff," I replied.

"Cool, well see ya later," he waved.

I do not want anyone knowing about my suspension. If anyone, including Zayn and the boys, finds out, I'm done. I'll be the "wimp-who-got-beat-up-by-Eric" for the rest of high school. Not to mention the fight was about a new girl.

I just want to get out of here, fast. I called my driver, and got picked up quickly. I was finally out of the hell hole.

Nikki's POV:

"Hi, do you know where Louis is?" I asked Harry, Zayn, Niall and Louis as I sat down with them for lunch.

"Nope, dunno," Niall said with his mouth full of food.

"He said he was going home early...for family stuff, I think," Zayn told me.

"Really?" I asked, kind of in doubt. I guess I get the part about going home, after the fight and all, but family stuff? No way.

"Yup, that's what he told me," Zayn confirmed.

"Awww, does little Nikki have a crushhh?" Harry said in a baby voice.

I slapped his arm. "Shut up, Harry," but I couldn't help but smile.

Although I was aware of my obssessing over him, I worried about Louis all throughout the day. I know he was lying to Zayn about 'family stuff' but what was the real reason? I called him during my break, but it went straight to voicemail. Was he hiding something from me?

He called me back an hour later. During chemistry. With Mr. Kingsman. The worst possible time for a phone to be ringing.

"Nikki, would you like to tell who's calling, or would you just like to hand your phone over, and I'll tell?" Mr. Kingsman asked.

"Uh..." I reached down to get my phone in my bag. When I looked up, Mr. Kingsman was standing directly over me.

"Phone. Now," he said, not giving me a choice.

I reluctantly handed over my phone. He looked at it.

"Ahhh, Ms. Johnson, it seems that you have a love call," he said loud enough for the whole class to stop their work and listen.

"What? From who?" I asked, anxiously.

"Caller ID said someone named, Louis Tomlinson. Do you know him?" The teacher smirked, he knew everyone knew who Louis was, including him.

The whole class bursted out laughing. "Nikki and Louis sitting in a tree--", "Oooh, Nikki you get that!" "Danngg, Louis scored!"

I heard teases and taunts from around the room. Mr. Kingsman just chuckled and gave my phone back. "Never again, Nikki. Got it?" he asked.

"Right," I mumbled, taking my phone and rushing out of the room.
