~~~Chapter Five: Meeting Him~~~
YOUR POV:
I saw a body lying on the ground, soaking in the rain. Immediately, I ran over to see if that person was okay. As I ran towards the body, I can feel my hoodie fall off my head, and the cold water droplets fall onto my hair, soaking it. My feet stepping into the numerous amount of puddles, I can finally make out a man's body laying on the wall. But as I got closer and closer, I noticed that it wasn't a man's body. It was wolf!
The wolf's fur was covered in water from the rain, and it looked like it was sleeping. I slowly made my way towards the wolf, curious to see if it was okay......
CHEN'S POV:
As I heard the footsteps coming closer, I mentally chanted a spell. Immediately, I changed into a wolf, and pretended I was asleep.
Demons in the royal blood line have their own powers. In my case, I had the power to control lightning. For demons that weren't part of the royal blood line, they had to learn spells in order to perform some kind of powers. It just happened that my brothers and I learned these spells too. That way, it can be more convenient for us to use more than just one power.
From a distance, I can hear Lay snort with my hearing, but I didn't pay much attention to him. I was too concentrated into pretending I was asleep in front of the human coming my way. I mean, sure, it might look cowardly. But what could I do? It was the first time I confronted a human without an intention to kill them.
Not moving at all, I just waited at the spot I was laid at, hoping that the human would go away.
NORMAL POV:
As you walked up to the wolf, you noticed that the animal was big-no......bigger than yourself. But you weren't scared. You stopped right before the wolf, and saw that it was soaked from head to toe.
*poor wolf* you thought.
Seeing that the wolf hadn't even moved, you bent down to reach your hand over to pet its head, when the wolf suddenly opened its eye. You gasped, as the wolf stared at you coldly. At the same time, the wolf growled when you tried to pet its head. Pouting, you got back up, folding your arms together to look down at the wolf.
*How DARE this human. The human tried to pet me!* Chen growled.
Seeing the wolf  growling at you, you crouched down until you were eye to eye with the wolf. Chen, being the stubborn prince he is, pointed his snout in another direction. From this action, you sighed.
As a child, you had always loved to take care of animals. If you saw an abandoned cat on the street, you only know one thing to do: pick it up and take care of it. It was about 3 years ago, when you found a puppy on the streets, and couldn't help but take care of it. Unfortunately, your parents wouldn't allow any animals in the house, so you sent it to the SPCA.
This incident was no different. Whether it was animal or anything else, you had always loved to help. Reaching into your bag, you just remembered you bought a small bag of cookies so you could eat it later. Bringing the bag of cookies out, the sweet smell of freshly baked sweets caught Chen's attention.
"Sadly," you started, "I cannot take you home because my parents don't like animals at home".
Chen snorted at you, but his eyes were trained onto the bag of cookies you were holding. By then, the rain had stopped, and you stood up.
"But, I'll leave this for you" you ended, placing the opened bag of cookies before Chen.
Chen stood up from where he laid at the whole time, and walked towards the bag of cookies, sniffing the treats that he had never tasted before. But just to be sure, Chen backed away from it, as if the sweets were dangerous. Chen plopped back to where he laid at and growled at you. Laughing, you grabbed a piece of cookie from the bag, and took a bite.
"It's your loss!" you said, giggling. Grabbing your plastic bag with milk and bread, you talked to the wolf.
"To compensate for not bringing you back home, I''ll give you these cookies" you said. "I hope I'll see you again," you said.
CHEN'S POV:
I lifted my body up from the ground and walked toward the bag that gave a sweet scent, which made my mouth water. As I sniffed the treats, my eyes never left the human before me. Brown wavy hair adorned a heart shaped face that glowed with happiness- something I haven't seen in a long time. Looking at the human before me, I was lost in the light brown eyes, her angelic-like eyes that showed concern and care for something.....I then walked back to where I was before, and sat there, looking at the human and growling at the same time, not trusting her. I then heard bell-like laughter emmitted from her.
"It's your loss!" the human said, grabbing a piece of 'cookie' from the small plastic bag.
"To compensate for not bringing you back home, I''ll give you these cookies" the human said. "I hope I'll see you again".
*'I hope I see you again'......those are the words I never thought I would hear* I thought to myself.
 Living in hell was hard; it was a cold and ruthless place - the place where someone like this human could easily die in.
When the human left, giving me a warm smile, I knew that I shouldn't meet that human ever again. I cannot let someone like her take my walls down........the walls that I have built up living in hell......
Changing back into my normal form, I walked fowards to pick up the bag of cookies the human left me. Even though she was out of my eye's sight, she still stayed somewhere: in my mind.
I can remember her, almost every single detail. From her looks to her attitude and kindness, everything was memorable. Even though people would see me as a monster, this human came up to me, as if I was an old friend she hadn't seen in a long time.
"Having a good time thinking about the human?" someone that certainly wasn't Lay asked.
Looking to my left, I saw Lay leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, dimples appearing as he smiled. Turning my head to see who was on my right, I saw a familiar face that had just spoke. I was happy that I saw this person because I hadn't seen him in a while. But invading my thought are a no-go.
".......humans are.....peculiar" I calmly answered, after  I heard the person chuckle.
"They certainly are," I heard Lay comment.
As I looked at the bag before me, I saw a name written on it.
Before I could read the name out, a certain person with a baby face and doe-like eyes looked down beside me with Lay to see what I was holding. Written in an elegant handwriting, a name was written in black sharpie.
*So, __________ is her name.....*
