"I don't get it. I've been eating since I was a baby. Why do I have to rehearse?" Danny questioned as Riley rushed him to prepare for the rehearsal dinner that was taking place that night. Riley had recruited Cassie and Danny to help her ready the roof. They had already cleaned up and were now focusing on hanging decorations, all of which were a horrendous pink that matched the bridesmaid colors.

"That's not what a rehearsal dinner is, Danny." Riley informed him as she stepped up the ladder he was holding steady, allowing her to hang a hot pink paper lantern from a string of lights. "A rehearsal dinner is an opportunity for all the friends and family to meet and get to know each other before they're officially family after the wedding." Riley explained, stringing up a few blindingly pink streamers.

"Oh. Well as long as there's food involved, I'm in!" Danny volunteered, handing her another lantern.

"Ugh, you're gonna make me wear a dress, aren't you?" Cassie groaned, taking a break from untangling a string of lights to slump my shoulders and whine.

"Yes, Cassie! It's our cousin's wedding!" Riley argued and Cassie rolled her eyes.

"Fine, but I'm not gonna be happy about it." She promised her.

"You don't have to be as long you wear a dress and don't complain to Katie. She's stressed enough as it is!" Riley declared.

"Riley, Katie lives on a rainbow made of happiness and dreams. Her and Dave have been dating since they were eleven. You're the one that's stressing out." Cassie told her, but she didn't seem to see her sister's reasoning.

"Cassie, can you go make sure Ben is ready with the drinks?" Riley requested, not wanting Cassie to prove her point any further. Cassie happily complied since that meant she didn't have to keep hanging up pink streamers. She headed down to the bar, less willingly, since she was still nervous, even after her talk with Danny earlier.

Cassie stood in the doorway of the Bar on B and braced herself as she took a deep breath, heading into the bar. "Hey." She greeted and he smiled when he saw her.

"Hey, Cas! What's up?" He wondered as she approached the bar, sitting on one of the stools just like usual.

"Riley sent me down here to make sure everything was lined up for tonight." Cassie explained and Ben gave her a confused look. "Tonight? The rehearsal dinner?" She reminded him and remembrance flashed in his eyes.

"Right! No, of course everything's all ready! I just need to get some ice. And some liquor. And maybe some cups..." Ben listed and Cassie looked disapprovingly at him.

"Ben! Riley's freaking out enough as it is." She reminded him.

"I know! I know, I'm sorry. I'll get it all sorted out. I promise. Don't worry." He assured her. "But don't you think they're kind of, you know, rushing into this?"

"Ben, they've been dating since they were eleven." She said flatly for the second time today.

"Doesn't that freak you out a little? They're the same age as us!" Ben pointed out.

"Yes, because we know how traditional you are." Cassie replied sarcastically. "Oh, by the way, how's your baby?" She teased and he snickered, shaking his head.

"Touche."

"So... Cassie." Cassie rolled her head back in annoyance when she heard Gene's voice behind her. He had slid onto the stool next to mine, turned to face me, his elbow casually on the bar counter. This was just like highschool all over again. "You know, it's tradition to leave a wedding with a bridesmaid."
