“Oh goodie the book is here!” Maxim quickly grabs a book from one of the shelves in the bookstore, the newly published ‘BLOOD AND GORE’ series were her favorite and she wouldn’t miss one for her collection. She squealed and immediately bought the book, as she waited on the counter she noticed that Kwangmin is leaning his back on the entrance of the bookstore.
“He’s still here?” Maxim thought, thinking that all the while the boy who saved him had gone home already, she didn’t expect him to stay, why would he anyway? She asked herself, no boy had ever conversed with her more than ten minutes but this Kwangmin over here.
Maxim got her book and approached Kwangmin, “Go home already, I’ll be alright” she told him and Kwangmin smiled. “You’re just going to shoo me away like that?”
“Why do you want to stay anyway?” she asked sternly.
“I just want to be friends…why, is it illegal?” Kwangmin joked but Maxim became silent all of a sudden.
“You don’t want to be my friend…” she said walking pass by Kwangmin and out of the bookstore.
“This one is stubborn.” Kwangmin bit his lip and followed Maxim, he really wants to know Maxim better so he would know the right methods to manipulate her because tainted souls were not always easy to tame, and especially this one that seems to have a lot of goodness in her.
He watched her walk the streets clutching on to her book and ignored everyone else who passed her, her soul shines differently indeed and it intrigued Kwangmin.
Maxim fastened her pace in walking hoping that she’ll get rid of Kwangmin, she admits that it was nice for Kwangmin to wait for her in the bookstore but it seems too good to be true that a guy like him would ask to be friends with her. ‘Maybe I heard him wrong’ she thought and kept walking until she crashed into someone else’s chest again.
“I’m so sorry! I wasn’t looking!” she shut her eyes apologizing not being able to see who she had bumped into.
“Then next time watch where you’re going!” Ljoe pushed her hard and Maxim hit a nearby wall.
“Aah!” she let out a small yelp, she clutched on her book even more tightly seeing that Ljoe was the one in front of her.
“What’s that you got there huh?” Ljoe stepped forward seeing the book that Maxim protects with all her life, she cowers as Ljoe steps closer towards her not daring herself to look at him in the eye. Ljoe grabbed the book but Maxim was quick to grab it back, “No, please just leave me alone!” she said trying so hard that Ljoe won’t take her book, she saved for weeks for it and she wouldn’t like it just to be ruined by some bully.
“Give it bitch!” Ljoe pulled the book from her hands with all his force making Maxim lose here balance and fell on the floor, it was really a wonder how people around would just ignore what’s happening.
“Ho-ho-ho! What’s this?” Kwangmin laughed seeing the scene between Ljoe and Maxim, “Getting bullied eh? Hah! And what do these humans around doing? Nothing! Aah…ignorance at its finest…” Kwangmin was enjoying the show; he had positioned himself not far away from where Maxim is and how Ljoe bullied her. He could see Ljoe’s soul is as dark as a coal, well have of it at least, the anger, the violence, and the animosity that Ljoe projects made Kwangmin giggle inside.
“Definitely, I’ll be seeing this one in hell…” Kwangmin hissed as his eyes flashed red.
“Ljoe stop!” Maxim yelled at the boy who had ripped the pages of her book by now, seeing how Maxim would cry made Ljoe more determined to ruin the book. He stepped on it making the pages dirty; he wasn’t satisfied and even spit on it so that Maxim wouldn’t want to pick them up anymore.
