Another morning came up fast and Maxim woke up early facing her mirror, her messy bed hair covering her face and she looked almost scary. She headed to the bathroom and took a shower, cleaning her whole body thoroughly and wrapping her towel around her, once again she got face to face with her reflection in the mirror battling with herself whether she would do what’s in her mind, then Kwangmin’s image flash in her head and she immediately blush. She didn’t know why the boy kissed her yesterday but after he did that she ran away like a scared kid, she was not sure how to face him today.

But then the things that Kwangmin said hit her, she couldn’t deny that he was right. she tossed he towel to the bed and wore her uniform, now she just have to fix her hair, she would usually just leave it wet and brush it and let the wind of nature dry it but today she decided to make a difference in her look.

She took the blow-dryer and started to let the warm air hit her hair as it dries, she brushed her hair with extra effort as well and then she caught sight of the scissors on her desk, she took it and without hesitation she started cutting her long bangs up to her brows just enough that she could see.

She wrapped her hair in a messy bun and for once she started to appreciate her face, she smiled to herself and went down for breakfast. Her mom was in the kitchen cooking some bacon and eggs until she turned around and heard her daughter coming down the stairs.

“Good morning dear, you’re quite—“her mom was stunned seeing Maxim, “You cut your bangs! You look beautiful Maxim!” she put down the frying pan and hugged her daughter, giving her a kiss on the cheek, she was quite glad that Maxim starts to take a step in grooming herself.

“The bacon smells good mom” Maxim said as she took a seat in front of the table and started eating when her mom gave her a plate of bacon and eggs.

“Does someone have a boyfriend?” her mother teased and she almost choked on the milk she was drinking.

“What? No mom, can’t I change my hair just because I want to?” she replied and her mom chuckled.

“Oh okay, I bet some boys will be lining up to you now!”

“Mom…”

“Okay I’ll stop! Ha-ha!”

Maxim finished her breakfast and brushed her teeth, kissing her mom goodbye as she headed out of the house and waited for the school bus. People in her neighborhood started to look at her thinking she was a new girl around, she wanted to laugh but then she really got bothered by the stares and just headed to the bus stop.

The stares didn’t stop there, when she entered the school bus everyone stared at her, she ignored it and took a seat.

“Wow she’s pretty, is she new in school?”

“Who is she?”

“She’s got nice eyes!”

“Let’s ask her name later”

She heard the curious whispers of some boys and she didn’t even want to hear what the girls were thinking, she couldn’t believe that they couldn’t recognize her.

“Do I look that different with my hair put down?” she asked herself, before the students would just ignore her presence and if they ever talked about her mostly they would just insult her and make fun of her but now she’s hearing praises.

The ride towards school was just awkward for her as she kept getting curious glances from the boys and girls, it was a good thing no one had the courage to sit with her. She wondered what will happen when she will arrive in school.

It was really a surprise to her that no one recognized her, she walked the hallways of the school and everyone just stared and wondered who this pretty girl is. Two guys almost hit on her but she quickly walked to her homeroom to avoid them, and then the stares she received from her classmates weird her out even more. Everyone thought if she’s a new student but they were shocked when she sat on her seat.
