Maxim entered her class and she was late, debating to herself whether she would go or not, the things that Youngmin said to her clung into her mind and she couldn’t shake them off easily. Kwangmin has been really nice to her and she doesn’t have the right to accused him of things, she had never felt anything wrong with him and most of all, Kwangmin was the biggest change in her life.
It was a good thing that Kwangmin is not in her class that afternoon or it would make matters worse for her, she couldn’t concentrate in listening to the teacher, she just lowered her head staring at her blank notebook and kept tapping her pen.
Now thinking back she did realized telling Kwangmin that she wanted those who have bullied her to pay for what they did, she was angry and emotional that she had said those things and she admits that she wants them to pay, but not to the point of dying.
“Why are you blaming yourself suddenly?” she asked herself, and then she kept telling herself that it wasn’t her fault that those kids died, it was all coincidence.
A feeling of uneasiness crept into her…fear and doubt…they were building up inside her.
“Fear…why would I feel that?” her thoughts wandered to Youngmin’s warning, no doubt that the blonde boy could really be Kwangmin’s twin but the things he said about Kwangmin being a demon was quite farfetched.
Her soul, she shouldn’t give him her soul he said…an involuntary smirk appeared on her face, she doesn’t even know that a soul could be given, the thought was silly to her.
A soul is something you couldn’t gift-wrap then be given away, but then she’s clueless to the ways of the other side of the world, she didn’t know its dark side well enough. Nonetheless she felt uneasy thinking about it, if she didn’t believe then why would she feel that way? If it was nothing then why ponder about it? Kwangmin…he is not ‘NOTHING’ to her that’s why, he has become that role model and an entity of confidence to her that she couldn’t just ignore. He had become precious to her.
“If you won’t leave him then please just open your eyes to the possibility that he could do anything, why must you learn things the hard way Maxim?” Youngmin’s voice rang in her mind, open her eyes he says, could she have been blinded all along?
“Doubt…” she whispered under her breath, why is doubt towards Kwangmin suddenly appeared? The very first day they met was quite a weird one, he saved her and made Ljoe go away. The very next day he got transferred to Blackstone and in the same class as hers, he had helped her when she lay unconscious in that gym, the same day that Ljoe and Phil bullied her. Kwangmin was there to comfort her when Bridget and her friends made fun of her…he was always there…so why would she doubt him now?
“Don’t let him take it from you!” the desperation in Youngmin’s eyes was evident when he said that, almost making Maxim believe on what he said…almost.
She gripped on her pen tightly, she can’t take this anymore and told the teacher that she’s having a headache and would like to leave the class to go to the clinic; the teacher permitted her to do so.
Kwangmin was alone in the school rooftop, looking at the students from above that looked like tiny ants from where he is. He smirked seeing them come and go to inside the building and how he thirsts for their tainted souls, but he’ll wait for that special soul…the one he really wants to have. He was so engrossed at the sight that he got startled when a hand had gripped his shoulder, when he turned around he was surprised to see Youngmin, glaring at him.
Kwangmin immediately swatted his hand away pushed him with force making Youngmin slide back a huge distance away from him, Youngmin managed to balance himself to prevent from falling on the ground, Kwangmin’s eyes gleamed red seeing his twin, the demon inside him fuming with anger, Enlil won’t forget that Lucien had killed Succubi.
