A Crash Into You

I speed around a corner, rushing to get to art class on time. I look down at my watch, then up. In that time I look up, I see I'm about to crash into a boy. BANG! Together we collide. I quickly stand up to get off the squished student.

"I am so, so, so sorry," I apologize, helping him up.

The boy is taller than me, with long spiky black hair. I stare into his dazzling green eyes, then look at the two dog puppets covering both his hands. On the right is a brown dog with beady eyes and a warm feeling. On the left is a blue dog with fierce eyes and a scary appearance. Back to this mysterious boy, he has dark green pants and a purple chain on the chest of his coat.

"It's alright," the brown puppets says.

I stare at the puppet and then at the ventriloquist's mouth that didn't move at all. Wow, he is very skilled. I smile brightly and then look away embarrassed.

"Well, I got to get to art class. Sorry once again," I mumble, still not making eye contact.

"Alright, just be more careful next time," says the blue puppet, then he walks away without another word.

Something about him makes me feel bubbly inside, but I push it away. It's probably the feeling of embarrassment, although it sure doesn't feel like it. I snap out of it and continue cautiously running to class, making sure not to run into anyone else.
