I'm home now, the warmth of the fire keeping me toasty. Rain is pouring down like bullets outside and frogs cry out into the air. I'm glad Ken won, but on the inside I sort of knew he was going to win anyway. The thought of (b/n) bursting causes me to shiver. I just thought all my training would pay off. I didn't mind losing to Ken however.

I groan at my two-sided thoughts. Ken won, that's great! I lost, not great...

"I'm sorry, (b/n)," I squeak, clutching my bey.

A soft, distant knock breaks my sobbing. I wipe my eyes, wondering who could be at the door. Opening the door, a familiar face has a bright smile, lighting up the dim room.

"Ken!? What are you doing here? It's pouring rain!" I exclaim, welcoming him in.

He enters the room, remaining silent.

"Ken?" I ask, noticing his odd behaviour.

Ken spins around, pulling me into a hug. He's warm, his breath icy and sweet. I blush, becoming as hot as the fireplace. I notice he is blushing too.The silence may be quiet, but my mind is rushing with thoughts.

"I just realized how amazing you are," Ken says, squeezing me tighter.

"B-but, I lost..." I mumble.

Ken lets go of me and pulls us over to the couch.

"Yeah, you lost, but your blocking out something important," Ken says, grabbing my hand.

What is Ken talking about? And he isn't wearing Keru or Besu! He's actually holding my hand with his own!

"(Y/n), you trained hard, you fought hard, and you believed in your bey. This isn't the end. Promise me you'll move on and get stronger. Stronger than me, so we can battle again," Ken whispers in my ear.

I leap onto Ken, hugging him close.

"I promise, but only if you do the same," I say, even though it doesn't really make sense.

Ken nods.

"Thankyou," I say, taking in the moment.
