Did you miss me? [ON HOLD]

Chapter 3

[Klaus POV]

drove Caroline to a cabin I had. It was down the road from where the wedding was held. We walked down the aisle to get to the car. Wasn't the way I pictured us walking down the aisle together, but hey, it was a start. I think.

On the way to the cabin, Caroline was going on and on, and on about me snapping Stefan's neck. "Klaus! You had no right to do that. It was so immature and unnecessary! I mean, hello! I'm not in a wedding dress so I could be interrupted by you!" She would not stop.

"Caroline. Stop rambling. At least wait til we're out of the car please." We made it inside the cabin and she started, again.

"Okay. We're in the cabin. I can start rambling again as you like to call it. So again. Why the hell did you come back to Mystic Falls? During my wedding? OMG! You don't still have a thing for me do you? Klaus. We aren't a thing. We ne-"

"Hope." That was the word I had compelled her to remember. When I compelled her to forget me, I had told her that when I say 'hope' to her, to remember what we had between us and that I compelled her, along with why.

"What did you just say to me?"

"Hope."

"Klaus." She came at me with the most passionate kiss I've ever experienced. We kissed, it felt like forever. I missed the feeling and taste of her lips. I missed getting my hands tangled in her luscious blonde curls while kissing. I missed running my hand down her spine and kissing her neck. I missed it all, and I had her back.

She pulled away and pulled me into a nice tight hug. She pecked my lips and said, "Oh my god. Klaus. It's really you. God, I missed you."

"I missed you too, love." She punches me in the shoulder and goes to sit on the couch.

"Ow! What the hell was that for?"

"Because you compelled me you ass! We were finally happy and everything was perfect, until you decided to compel me! Klaus, I forgot you completely. Every kiss, every hug, every time we slept together. I only remembered the bad things. For god's sake, I ALMOST MARRIED STEFAN!" She yelled at me.

"Ok. Well I guess I did deserve that."

"Don't even start."

"Okay, okay." I can't help but laugh.

"What the hell is so funny? This is not a laughing matter."

"I know, I know."

"Then stop laughing." I stopped laughing after that.

"Love, you have to under-"

"Don't love me." She says horribly mocking my accent.

"Okay, okay. Caroline," I say more precisely. "As I was saying, I did it to protect you. You can stay mad at me as long as you want, but you are alive and that's all that matters to me. You don't understand how much danger you were in. I had enemies come from around the world. If they knew that I loved someone other than my family, they would kill them in a heartbeat. I did it to keep you safe, which you were." She leaves the room not saying a word to me. She takes a shower and gets in her pajamas, as do I. She lays in the bed as I tell her, "I'll take the couch."

"Just because I'm mad at you doesn't mean I don't want to lay with you. I haven't laid in a bed in a bed with you in years. Come here."

I laid in bed and wrapped my arms around her waist. "Oh god, Caroline, I missed you so much."

"Klaus. I love you. I haven't seen you in years, but I still love you."

"I love you too, Caroline."

"Okay, you can call me love again. I like when you call me that." She had the cutest smile when she said that.

"Alright, love." I missed her so much. I had her back. I had the love of my life back, and I sure as hell wasn't gonna let her go.

Okay, guys. So how do you like the story so far? Sorry  I haven't posted recently. I only work on my story late at night when I'm going to bed, it's the only time I can. Most nights I'm exhausted. Once my story takes off, I will definitely have a schedule for my typing. Right now, I type whatever comes to mind. Thanks for the feedback and enjoy future chapters! ❤
