"Klaus are we there yet?" Klaus had Caroline blindfolded as he drove them to their destination. He had a special evening planned for them. With everything that had been going on, Klaus wanted to take Caroline's mind off it all. He wanted her to have a good time without worrying.
"Love, you really are impatient, aren't you?"
"Well," She said laughing. "I can't help it, I'm stubborn. And nosey."
"I know, I know. We're almost there, love."
"Yay!" Caroline said with a smile on her face. Klaus stared at her for a minute. He would do anything to keep that beautiful smile on her face, forever.
Klaus parked the car and carefully helped Caroline out. He still had her blindfolded because they weren't quite there yet. "Caroline, do you trust me?"
"Always."
Klaus lifted Caroline into his arms and vamp sped through the forest until they got to a cabin. Klaus put Caroline down and took her blindfold off. Caroline opened her eyes to the most beautiful thing ever. Klaus had set the table with candles, a dinner, roses everywhere, and champagne. Caroline let a tear fall down her cheek, but Klaus quickly wiped it away. "What do you think, love?"
"It's so beautiful." She grasped him into a hug. "Why'd you do all of this?"
"Well, you didn't think I would take you to a restaurant did you? Please, a queen deserves much better than that." Klaus said with a smirk as he kissed Caroline on her cheek.
"I love you, Nik."
"I love you too, Caroline." Caroline didn't often call Klaus by his nickname. It was reserved for special, emotional occasions only. She usually called him Nik when they were making love, when something terrible was happening, or when she was taken away with him. She called him Niklaus when she felt like ripping his head off.
Klaus and Caroline enjoyed their dinner and watched a movie afterwards. They watched The Notebook, Caroline's favorite. Klaus wasn't a huge fan of the movie, but he would never let Caroline in on that secret. If she knew, she wouldn't have him watch it with her, and he wanted her to enjoy her favorite movie. Caroline fell asleep in Klaus's embrace. He layed there a while, not wanting to wake her. Soon, he fell asleep too.
Meanwhile, Camille was plotting her revenge. "I heard that Klaus took her on a romantic getaway."
"Ugh, shut up, Josie." Camille quickly said. She did not want to hear about how happy Klaus and Caroline were together. It made her want to puke. Josie was a witch Camille forced to work with her. She kidnapped her daughter and told Josie that unless she helped, her daughter would be killed before her eyes. "Actually Josie, who exactly is with them?"
"Um, no one I don't think. Why do you ask?"
"Because I've decided to change my plan a little bit. Do you know their location?' Josie nodded her head yes. "Good, let's go."
Camille arrived at the cabin. She had Josie put a cloaking spell on the car so the vampires wouldn't hear it pull up. Camille walked to the window. She could see Caroline and Klaus asleep on the couch, with Caroline in his arms. Seeing them like that only made her more furious at Caroline than she already was before. She opened the door, but no one could hear her. Camille then proceeded to go through the cabin and make sure there was nothing that could be used against her and the witch. While doing so, she took Klaus's and Caroline's phones. She was going to throw them away so they couldn't call for backup, but she got sidetracked when Klaus's phone seemed to be unlocked. She went to the photos and her heart continued to break. She noticed that all of Klaus's camera roll was pictures of him with Caroline or his daughters. This was supposed to be her life! She was supposed to end up with Klaus. She was supposed to be the one having children. It wasn't fair and her heart shattered, piece by piece. She went to the text messages and immediately clicked on Caroline's name. She noticed that Caroline called him "Nik" a lot and it made her so angry. When Caroline called him "Nik", Klaus seemed to love it. But when Caroline was out of the picture and it was Camille and Klaus together, he absolutely hated when she called him by his actual name. He despised it and often yelled at her for it. By the time she got done snooping through his phone, she had her salty tears running down her face. She had finally realized that she didn't need to kill Caroline. What would killing Caroline accomplish? Absolutely nothing. Klaus still wouldn't want to be with her, so there was no point. What she needed to do was kill Klaus. It would break her heart, but if she couldn't have him, Caroline sure as hell couldn't. She waltzed back into the living room and began her fun. She took a syringe and gave Caroline a vaccination of vervain. It was enough to weaken her, but not enough to make her pass out. She wanted Caroline to watch Klaus die. Camille drug Caroline out of Klaus's arms, which immediately woke Klaus up. The witch held a wooden stake to Caroline's heart so Klaus wouldn't attack.
