It's coming

Drake's POV

It could be happening anytime now. After waiting for seven months I knew it would be happening anytime soon. I felt like I was huge and heavy now. I never thought about how hard those last months would be. I could only imagine how hard things would be for Samuel, since he was carrying twins. One child was already hard enough. This child seemed to have taken a lot of energy out of me already and when it is time it will take even more energy. I'm kind of getting nervous about it, especially because this is the first child I will have. Also the fact that Gabriel and I haven't been together for a long time is something that worries me. I know he is my mate and is thereby the perfect partner for me, but I still don't know everything about him. We might want to raise the child differently than each other as well. Perhaps I'm just worrying way too much about it, a child should be seem as a blessing, right? Even though the child would almost be a full vampire kid. There is a possibility the child might sprouts wings like Gabriel, but I'm not sure.

I slowly stood up from the couch with a small groan and walked over to a window. Gabriel was outside, catching something for me to drink from. I needed some blood soon, especially because the baby wanted it as well. I rubbed my belly and smiled lightly. "He will be back soon..." I mumbled softly. The child had been moving a lot the past months, but it was definitely a sign the child is going to be healthy. I will love this child a lot, although I would miss fooling around like I used to do. I won't be able to prank anyone, at least not often especially because I have to be a good example for my child. It would be nice if the child is going to be a prankster like me, but I don't think Gabriel would like it if I encourage such behavior.

Suddenly I heard someone knocking against the door. There was no way that was Gabriel, after all he would just come inside. Perhaps Sydney and Jules wanted to say hi and ask how I'm doing. I sighed softly when I walked to the door, hoping they would try to be calm, I don't think I can handle all the energy Sydney has. I opened the door, only to see two familiar faces that I hadn't seen in months. My eyes widened and I gasped.

"M-mother..? Father..?" I said softly. I stepped back when my father just decided to walk in. His expression was cold while mom's expression just showed concern. "Drakeula..." My father muttered. "You have been away from the kingdom for so long. We thought something must have happened. If it wasn't for the Fire King we wouldn't have known if you were still alive." He said seriously before he took a deep breath. A frown appeared on his face. "Do you have any idea how concerned we were?! Especially your mother was worried." He said, kind of sounding angry. I couldn't help it, but to feel tense. "As I can see the rumors are true as well... You have found your mate and carry the heir of two kingdoms... Very dangerous in times like this, especially because your mate comes from the Shadow kingdom..!" He muttered frustrated. Mom walked closer to me and shot a glare at my father. "Valentino! Our son is expecting a baby very soon, we don't need to him to feel stressed." My mother scolded. My father sighed and then he nodded. "You're right, Helena... I shouldn't..." He mumbled.

I thought things couldn't get worse until Gabriel got home. He immediately became tense and looked at me. "What's going on..?" He decided to ask. My father hissed a bit and glared at Gabriel. "You... You couldn't have chosen a worse time to make my son pregnant..!" He yelled, his eyes glowing red. Gabriel didn't seem to be scared though and just walked past him. He walked over to me and handed me a red bird. "Here, you should drink from it and perhaps eating it would satisfy our child." He said honestly. My father raised an eyebrow at Gabriel. I think he doesn't like it to be ignored, although I can't be too sure what father actually means. I looked at Gabriel again and took the red bird. I bared my fangs, ready to suck all the blood out of it. For a moment I didn't care about the fact my parents are here. I just needed to drink the blood, to regain some strength and to satisfy the baby.
