+Emma Griffon+

I wake up and get in the shower. I decide to wear a blue lacy dress with a brown thin belt and brown flats. I pair it with my mothers necklace and pull my hair into a braid. I enter the kitchen and grab a bowl of cereal and orange juice.

"Morning Liv. How's Triston?", I ask not really caring.

"He's okay, obviously upset though.", She says.

"Yeah.", I respond. I put my dishes in the sink and call Jack.

"Hello?", Jack answers.

"Can I please get a ride?", I ask.

"Sure thing. Green Gardens right?", He checks.

"Yup!", I say popping the 'p'. Eventually, Jack comes and I get into his car.

"Looking fine as ever I see.", He states.

"Thanks.", I say. Jack drives his crazy way and we make it there in a second.

"Bye Jacky.", I say getting out of the car.

"Stop.", He whines. I grin and walk away. First period is English, so I grab my textbook and make my way there.

"Good morning class! Today we will start a project in partners.", Mrs. Hoffman announces. The class cheers and some whine.

"I will pair you in groups.", She says. Jack is with Mora, a geeky girl, while I am with Ashley, head of the cheer squad. Chase is with a random guy named Daniel.

"Hey Ella right?", A peppy Ashley asks.

"It's Emma.", I annunciate.

"Oh, sorry. I'm Ashley if you didn't know.", She says smiling.

"Yeah.", I say and turn to the teacher.

"Okay, so we will be making budget projects. You will pick a job at random and conform your life to your income and learn all that neat jazz!", The teacher explains.

"Hey, Emma. Did you hear? This freshmen, Jonathan Martins? He went onto the football field and shouted that he wanted a girlfriend bad. What do you say and make his wish come true?", Chase whispers smirking.

"Why don't you?", I ask. Ashley glares at Chase who glares at me.

"Why don't you just turn around and mind your own damn business?!", Ashley hisses. Chase flips her off and she gasps in disgust.

"Let it go Ashley.", I suggest. Mrs. Hoffman passes out sheets and Ashley and I give them a 'once over'.

"This is fun! Let's get the mansion and the ultra package cell phone and the convertible car...", She rambles on about getting the most expensive options on the sheet.

"Ashley, we didn't even get a job.", I say.

"Call me Shlee.", She says.

"Okay. Why?", I ask.

"'Cus my friends call me that.", She says with a smile.

"Okay.", I say again. The teacher comes around with a basket and "Shlee" picks a card.

"What'd you get?", Mrs. Hoffman asks. Shlee shows the card to the teacher and Mrs. Hoffman nods.

"What is it?", I ask.

"Hairdresser.", Shlee says.

"Yikes. We won't be able to get all the expensive stuff you wanted.", I tell her.

"What?!", She yells.

"Calm down, we still can get some of the crap you want.", I reassure her.

"Ugh!", She groans loudly.

"This is going to be a long week.", I whisper to Jack.

+Chase Harrison+

"Hey, I'm Danny.", The guys introduces himself.

"Chase.", I say nodding.

"Aren't you on the soccer team?", He asks.

"Captain.", I say.

"Cool. Let's get to work, shall we?", He says smiling.

"Sure.", I say. We work until the end of the period, then I grab my bag and head to Mr. Anderson's class, social studies.

"Okay, class. We will be learning about the architecture of Egypt. Can anyone name an example? Anyone?", He asks.

Stephanie, the class nerd, raises her hand. "The Valley of the Kings!", She calls out.

"That's right! The Valley of the Kings is where pharaohs of the New Kingdom were buried along with their treasures and sometimes family.", Mr. Anderson lectures.

The rest of the day goes by the same as Mr. Anderson's class, boring lectures. When the final bell rings I jump out of my seat and head to the door only to be stopped by Ms. Fletcher, my math teacher. I glance over at Emma who is smirking as she walks out the door.

"What?", I ask Ms. Fletcher.

"Your failing math class.", She replies.

"So?", I continue.

"I advise you to get a tutor.", She says.

"What? No! Who?", I blurt out.

"Well, Mary Hinvis and Emma Griffon are two excellent tutors.", She suggests. Mary Hinvis is your typical geek: no fashion sense, giant glasses and wicked smart. If anyone knew I actually had a conversation with her, I'd be a dead man.

"I'll have Emma do it.", I groan.

"Perfect. Should I tell her the news or are you?", Ms. Fletcher asks.

"I'll do it.", I say and and get up to leave.

"Oh and one more thing!", Ms. Fletcher says. I turn to her and nod for her to continue.

"If you don't get above a ninety, your going to fail this term.". She informs me. I nod, turn back around and walk out the door.
