Alice:
After being picked up and traveling all night and morning I look up in time to see the city limit sign, well I guess it's more of a town then a city. My stare travels back inside the car, and see gramps still hunched over his laptop reading his bestiary.
I hated having to learn Latin just to be able to memorize that thing by the time I turned ten. As you can imagine, nine year olds don't exactly find that fun when they'd rather much be reading Harry Potter.
Shutting his laptop close he pauses before looking out the window. "We're here." He speaks up, causing me to follow his gaze towards the cementry outside.
I would like to be able to say that this will be a peaceful funeral, but Aunt Kate seems to have made quite a bit of buzz with her death, so who knows how horrible this is going to get.
The car pulls to a stop and the driver gets out before opening the door for us. Gramps gets out first as I grab my purse and follow quietly behind. Stepping onto the pavement I immediately frown at the sight of all the press. This is already on so many levels horrible.
"Looks like the vultures are here." I grumble. I can't believe that there's people who would go to funerals and try to make money off a person's death.
True I never really got along with Kate as I got older, but I'm still civil enough to respect those who are dead...no matter how crazy they were. Or how particularly interesting her story turned out to be, seeing as how she got charged with some fire that burnt a whole family to a crisp.
Talk about going out in a fiery blaze.
"Hurry now, Alice." Gramps says before leading the way. With the help of two of his guys we maneuver our way through the unruly crowd to the front. I swear I haven't been pushed around and shoved this much since that one time I somehow found myself in the middle of a mosh pit.
At least there I could shove back.
With a few choice words towards the reporters I leave them with gobsmacked expressions as I walk away.
Taking note of the significant distance between myself and my grandfather, I quicken my pace to catch up. My eyes glance over to some random boy who's in the unfortunate, at least for him, position of my grandfather's wrath.
Must have thought it would have been a good idea to cross the barricade, probably would have been if it wasn't involving the Argents. The teen looks bewildered as his camera is snatched out of his grip.
"This looks expensive." Gramps turns the camara around in his hands.
"Yeah 900 bucks." The kid, well I guess teen since he looks around Allison's age, responds.
"And how expensive." Gramps pops the lid open. "Is this." He holds out the memory card before, in one swift motion, snapping it in half.
Surprisingly enough that actually went a lot better for the teen then I had expected. However he doesn't share my thoughts, and looks at his camera in disbelief once it gets shoved back into his hands.
"Should've stayed back." I retort as I walk past him to follow behind gramps.
Several needle-like pricks in my head stop me mid way to my destination. Glancing around the area I try to and find a cause to this all too familiar feeling that I've gotten countless of times.
Squinting my eyes towards the wooded area around the cementry I still find nothing out of the usual. Must just be the whole funeral that's got me on edge. With a new attentive mindset, I continue my walk towards where the others are at.
"But I'd perfer grandpa." I hear him say just as I walk up to the group.
"And I'd prefer you'd call me sister." I speak up, stepping around my grandfather. To say Allison's surprised would be an understatement.
"Alice!" She gets up out of her seat and engulfs me in a hug. I don't think twice and happily return her hug.
It's been way too long since I've gotten to see her and my parents in person. I just wish this would have been under better circumstances.
"I didn't realize you missed me so much." I joke. We've always been close despite our none blood relations. I hold her at arms length and give her a large reassuring smile. She tries to return it, but I can tell this whole ordeal is casing her to be overwhelmed.
There's no doubt in my mind that out of all of us it must be the hardest for her seeing as how one, she had a good relationship with Kate, and two from what I've heard she saw her get killed.
Leading her back to her seat, I walk over to my parents. My mom plants a quick kiss on my cheek before pulling me into a hug. "Good to see you, Alice."
"Nice to see you too mom." I greet as we pull apart. Yes, my mom may seem scary on the outside but let me tell you...she's exactly like that on the inside.
Despite that she was still a loving and caring mother. She just has a different way of showing my sister and I.
"Hey dad." He nods in return before giving me a quick hug. Having already talked with him on the phone yesterday he leaves to take a seat.
"I'm going to need you to keep an extra eye on your sister." My mom instructs as she makes herself seem busy straighting up my coat.
That was part of the conversation I had with dad, about how Allison found out about the actual family business. Apparently she's under the impression that I don't know anything in regards to it.
Unfortunately I'm under the dreadful impression that this visit will become just a normal, non-hunting experience because of it. To think that I had high hopes of this place being the perfect 'welcome back to the hunting game' gift.
"Of course mom." I reply albeit rather stiffly. She gives me a smile before hooking her arm with mine and leading me back to the seats. She lets go and I take a seat next to Allison.
"I'm glad you're here. I need a little normal in my life right now." She mumbles, leaning her head on my shoulder.
I almost cringe at the fact that I have to keep that I'm a hunter a secret. But when an order is given I'm not one to question it or break it for that matter.
"Of course. You know I'm always here for you, Al." I reassure whilst smoothing down her hair. But you're definitely not going to get much normal from me. The thought pops in my head as the service begins.

A/N: And here is chapter two. I don't have the best grammar or spelling when writing so excuse any of those mistakes. Oh and one last thing before I had planned on posting this I decided that no matter the reads or votes I would write this thing out till the end. So if you're that one person who actually reads this have no fear I definitely plan on finishing this and whatever story I may think of. Damm that was a long note.
