'But if you ask me two's a whole lot lonelier then one'

Alice:

I all but slam my forehead onto the steering wheel of my car. That's it, I never thought I'd say this but I definitely hate Allison and my dad now.

After everything that happened with Gerard and the Kanima, my dad, sister, and I all sat down and had a family conversation. One that somehow ended in me having to go around and apologize to everyone who Allison and my dad saw fit that deserved it.

It was a punishment I didn't think was going to be too hard until I realized two things. One I'm not the type of person to apologize too often for the things I've done and even when I do 99 percent of the time I'm not truthfully sorry. And two I know that they added in the last name on the list just to make me suffer.

So ya, I've been sitting in my car a few miles away from the Hale house for almost three hours now. And no I'm not scared... I'm annoyed. All I want is to head out to France already, and just ignore the whole Derek Hale problem and get on with my life.

My head shoots up when I feel my whole car rock to the side followed by the sound of metal being torn. You can just imagine how nice that sounds. "What the actual fuck!" I yell out as a big piece of metal falls in front of my car.

Wait a minute is that--. My eyes widen in disbelief as I notice the fact that it's not just some random piece of metal, it's my freakin car's trunk door. I step outside and slam my car door shut, before walking over to it. "Who the hell?" I stop myself as I spot a very angry looking Derek by the end of my car.

"Oh, uh, hey." I rub the back of my neck. He doesn't respond but even from here I can see not only his chest rising up and down, but also his red alpha eyes shinning every few seconds.

Before I can even get out another word he moves over to the side of my car scratching his nails on my car the whole way. He rips off the passenger side door, and I flinch at the horrible sound of metal being torn again. The now torn off door gets thrown out into the woods.

And me being finally me, before I can think better of it I say. "Isn't it the girls job to trash the guy's car when they're angry." I stupidly joke. Definitely not the wisest thing to say to a pissed off alpha werewolf after he finds out that you were playing with him.

"Leave now." He growls, clenching his hands into fists. Once again, me being me I stay put seeing as how I'm too stubborn, and not to mention that he just trashed my car.

"No." I reply, defiantly. He lets out a low yet very audible growl as his eyes flash red. "Okay so I'll cut right to the chase. I know that you probably hate me right now, and that's totally understandable." I begin, looking over at torn off demolished parts of my car.

My lips press into a thin line as I think of what to say next. Out of all the apologizes I've given today I feel like this one is literally life or death right now. I clear my throat and lace my fingers together.

"Look I'm going to be straightforward with you right here."

"That'll be a first." He retorts. It takes a heck of a lot of willpower not to yell at him to shut the hell up and to let me finish before he opens his big mouth to talk.

"Okay, I deserve that." I begrudgingly agree. "And that, and that." I gesture towards the torn off door and trunk door from my car that are now laying in the middle of the woods.

"But what I'm trying to get at is that I let my emotions cloud my better judgment after my mother died." I admit, finally looking up at him. He's wearing the same default glare he almost always seems to have on.
