Alice:

So I was on my way over to the station to just drop off some paperwork when my car decided it would be a royal pain in the ass and have some sort of meltdown. I know a couple things here and there but being since I'm no mechanic here I am at one.

The little bell above the door rings as I step inside the empty front room. Well nice to know that they have a diligent staff here. I walk over to the counter and place my palms on it. Ya bad idea.

I lift up my left hand and notice a very disgusting clear goo on it.

This is just perfect not only is there no one here but they cant even keep their one counter clean. I grab a tissue from the box and wipe both my hands off. Well at least they have hand-sanitizer or I might have just came here at night and trash the place. My attention gets drawn at the sound of a familiar voice.

Well will you look at that, looks like I'm not the only one with car troubles. "Let me guess there's some repulsive form of liquid on your hand too." He jumps back startled before noticing that its just me.

If he knew even half of the stuff that I've done I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be so relieved that its just me in here.

"Ya like I was just saying real quality establishment here." He says, making it pretty clear to me that he uses sarcasm like a second language, if not first. I smile before reaching out for the bottle of hand sanitizer.

I try to grab the bottle but my fingers won't open and I end up knocking it over. Stiles looks up from his phone and thats when I notice both of our hands are shaking.

"Are you--oh shit." My knees buckle in causing me to lose my balance.

Stiles reaches out to grab me, but he ends up falling to the ground too. I land on the floor with a clear view out the door to where the mechanics work.

I see him slump down to the ground just like us. Oh great whatever the hell did this is still here. My eyes widen when I see the car start to slowly drop above him.

Stiles notices too and starts to drag himself over to his phone. "Help me! Help me!" The mechanic cries out making Stiles' hand start to shake even more.

I take a deep breath and steady myself. "Stiles. You need to breathe and focus. Don't panic just breath in and out." He starts to take even breaths and slowly trys again. But its no use the toxin is too strong for either one of us to move even a finger.

"Close. Your. Eyes." I pant out before trying to catch my breath again. I don't know if he does or not but I keep my eyes open.

The thing about being a hunter for so long is that seeing death doesn't disturb you anymore. I'm still not entirely sure if that's a good thing, or if it just adds to the list of why I think I have no soul anymore.

If I didn't fully figure out that it's a Kanima before, I do now as it sends out a very annoying roar before running off. I'm going to kill that stupid shit next time I see it.

"9-1-1, what's your emergency." Wow such great timing down at the station I think before rolling my eyes.

"We're at the mechanic's shop. We found the mechanic dead." The operator goes through the standard procedure before telling us that the police are on their way.

Now you just have to focus and start trying to move again.

Oddly, well I guess with my background its not odd at all, I've come into contact with a Kanima before, but that's a story for another time, right now I have to focus on gaining the feeling back in my body. I let out a shaky breath before speaking up.
