I feel bad about what I did. I should've stayed with her. But I walked away.
Amy didn't come home last night. I think she slept at our parent's house.
I feel guilty. I should have helped her. Maybe called her. Right now she thinks everyone is mad at her. Because she kept secrets from other people secret.
But she should've told that she knew it. To Christina. She knew it. But she didn't tell her. I understand Christina. I understand that she feels betrayed. And now Lisa knows about Christina. And she is kinda mad. I don't know for sure.
I don't know what's going on in her head. But she came home last night really late. I heard her talking with Nick. She was crying and he was trying to calm her.
"Where are you going?", Lisa asks me when I pick my keys. "Uhm... To mom and dad's house", I say. Lisa looks like she didn't sleep last night. Her eyes look tired.
"Okay... I just... Can we talk?", Lisa asks me. I nod my head and I sit down on a chair. We're both in the kitchen right now. I gesture her to begin.
"How long is Christina pregnant?", she asks. "Four weeks", I tell her. I see Lisa calming down. "Do mom and dad already know?", she asks. I shake my head. That's going to be the hardest part for Christina.
They are not going to be happy.
But they will probably support her.
Our mom and dad aren't mean. But they will be disappointed.
"Can I go with you?", Lisa asks me. I nod my head. Together we walk to my car and we get in. I start the car and I drive away. We say nothing. We don't say a single thing. I want to talk with Lisa about her singing career but I'm afraid she will get mad.
Wait... Amy knew about Christina her secret. Is that the only thing she knows? Or does she also knows about Lisa? Wait. She and Lauren. Those two. They are getting pretty close lately. She knows what Lauren is hiding.
She knows what is happening between Dani and Lauren.
Oh my gosh. I'm going to ask her.
When we arrive at our parent's house I almost want to jump out of the car and run into the house. I'm not doing that, of course. Together with Lisa, I walk inside. Still not talking to each other.
"Dani?! What were you thinking?", mom screams angry. Angry? What is going on? "Dani, you are grounded! And you can't hang out with Caitlin anymore", dad says sternly. "Now, go to your room", mom says. Then I see Dani coming out of the kitchen. She isn't crying. She doesn't look upset.
What is going on?
She looks... Happy? Well, more relieved. Mom and Dad know. They know her secret. I think? Or she did just something really wrong. "Dani? What's going on?", Lisa asks before Dani walks upstairs. Dani just shakes her head and walks upstairs.
Okay? That was weird?
I look at Lisa. "Do you want to go to ask Mom and Dad?", I ask her. She nods her head and starts walking to the kitchen immediately. Mom and Dad are talking really quiet. They don't want anyone to hear. When we enter the kitchen they look at us and they stop talking.
"Hey girls, what are you doing here?", Dad asks us. Is he going to act like they weren't mad at Dani moments before?
"We are here for Amy. But why were you mad at Dani?", I ask them. Mom looks at us. "Sorry honey, but we are not going to tell that to you", she says. "Can Dani still film the video tomorrow?", Lisa asks. Mom nods.
"But you girls have to make sure she comes home immediately after", she says sternly. I nod my head. "Well, we are going to Amy. She is in Lauren her room I think?", Lisa asks. Mom nods her head. Then I grab Lisa her hand and I pull her upstairs.
Immediately I walk to Lauren her room. I knock on it. "Come in!", she screams after a moment. Not immediately. Then I walk into her room together with Lisa. Lauren and Amy are sitting on the bed. When they see us they let out a deep sigh from relief. What is going on?
"Dani? You can come out of the closet", Lauren says. Dani comes out of the closet. She sees us and waves at us. "I'm going to my room before Mom and Dad see that I'm here hanging out with you guys", she says and she walks away.
Wait. Is everything okay between Lauren and Dani again? Because I really thought they were fighting yesterday.
"What are you doing here?", Lauren asks for Amy. Amy didn't say anything since we came into the room. She is afraid. I can see it in her eyes. She is afraid that we are mad at her.
But we are not mad at her.
Well, not me. And I also think that Lisa isn't mad at her. Lisa was just mad at the moment. She felt betrayed. But Christina is mad. That's for sure.
"Well, I wanted to talk with you Lauren", Lisa says while gesturing her to come with her. Lauren stands up. "Uhm... Can I leave you guys?", she asks. Amy nods her head and me too. Lisa and Lauren walk away. Then it's just me and Amy in the room. Amy doesn't say anything and I'm just staring at her.
Okay, this is awkward.
I sit down on Lauren her bed and I look at Amy. "Amy, can we talk?", I ask. Amy looks at me. "Yeah... I get it that you're mad but-..." She tries to say but I cut her off. "Amy! I'm not mad", I try to convince her. Amy nods. "Christina is. You should really talk to her about this. She will understand her if you explain it. I mean, you probably found out by accident right?", I ask her. I hope it was an accident. She nods her head.
"Then there is no problem. Just explain that it was an accident. Christina isn't that kind of person to get mad when it was an accident", I try to help her.
"Yeah... I guess that will help. But not with everything that I know...", she says the last part quietly.
Not with everything that she knows...
She knows more!
I look at Amy shocked and she looks at me. She knows it. She knows that I heard her.
