~Pierre~

Pierre sits down on his black seat in front of his desk. After eight months of teaching the monster hunters today was his first day back at his old job. He worked at the Public Problem Centre, he was supposed to deal with any complaints or problems the citizens had. Pierre was also responsible for hearing back from the monster hunters. The only reason he volunteered to be the teacher was because Odele, one of the city leaders, was in charge of the organization and he wanted to have a good reputation with her.

He takes a sip of his coffee, and sets it back down on his desk. There was already a ring from previous cups stained on his desk. There was a loud knock on the door, causing Pierre to lift his head up, from the stack of papers he was buried in.

"Hello, my name's Allie Kovac. I was supposed to be a on a train heading to Zone Six, to run some checks on the forcefield. But, I lost my ID card." A short man with tanned skin, and blue eyes states from the doorway.

Pierre nods, and motions for him to come inside. "Have a seat." The man does as told, pulling out the chair in front of the desk to sit on. Pierre sets his papers aside, happy to put them off, and digs through his drawers. "I need you to place your thumb on the machine." He orders, and places a square shaped piece of metal on the table. Then he hooks the wire into a slot in his computer. A program instantly opens up, scanning the guy's thumb. "The scan will identify your fingerprint with a match in one of our files, that way we know if you're really Allie or not. How long has your card been missing?"

"Okay," The guy croaks. "It was missing a few days ago, I came as soon as I noticed it was gone, unfortunately I had only ten minutes until I was supposed to be there, and they wouldn't let me through unless I made an appointment. You guys are busy as hell."

Pierre nods, "Yeah, mostly just parents worried about their children and former Zone members complaining that this better work." The program beeps, and a profile appears on the screen. Written on the top was the name, Allie Kovac. "You were right." He announces. "I'll print you a new one, and update the code on my page. That way if anyone did take your card, it'll be disabled-"

Pierre pauses, and stares at the screen, his eyebrows furrowed. "How is this possible? It says here that you've checked in on the train ride to Zone Six with the rest of the monster hunters."

"What? Someone must have stolen my card!" Allie speculates.

"Okay, I'll fix you a new ID card, and then call the train to find out if we can get the thief back here." Pierre explains. He opens up a new program, on his computer and goes through the options, on the drop down menu, until he finds the one that says ID card. He selects it, and a basic outline of the card appears.

"How long do you think it will take me to get a ride to the Zones? These checkups are super important, I need to make sure that the monsters stay trapped, and don't come to the Central City." Allie questions.

Pierre continues working at his computer, switching between his file, and the app. He types the information into the spots on the card. "Well, trains to the Zones aren't cheap, especially for one person." Pierre asserts.

Allie stays silent. The soft buzz of the computer, filling in the quiet spaces. Pierre changes the code on Allie's profile, to the one on the back of the new card and then hands it over to him. He walks to the door and opens it, adding "why don't you wait outside, and I'll give you a call." The guy nods, and slips outside into the waiting area.

He shuts the door and walks back to his desk, burying his face into his hands. He was required to file a report on the situation, for the city leaders to make a decision about what to do. But, to do would mean that the public could find out about this. They were already iffy about the monster hunters, they sure would not like the fact that a probably unarmed citizen slipped into the Zones. How could they have been so stupid and careless, and let someone in so easily?

Then, a thought crosses Pierre's mind. Tyler, he was going to Zone 6. He lifts his head up, and closes his eyes. He will be okay. He takes a deep breath before shaking he thought out of his head, then he continues to dig through the notes on his computer; searching for the phone number of the train heading towards the Zones. After finding it, he types it into the keypad on his phone, which was sitting on his desk, and waits for someone to pick up.

"Hello? This is Voltage express, how may I help you?" The person on the other end greets cheerfully.

"Hello. This is Pierre Hoffman, from PPC. What Zone are you heading towards?" He inquires.

"We're in Zone 6 right now; waiting for the guy to complete his check up on the Zone Six forcefield." The person explains. "Is everything okay?"

"I need you to get that guy for me. He stole someone's ID card and I don't know what he was planning on doing, but you need to arrest him and bring him back here-" Pierre informs, but is interrupted by a knock on his door. He cranes his neck to the entrance and notices his secretary standing there. He holds one finger up, to let her know he needs a second. The woman nods, and before Pierre can continue his sentence the person on the other line speaks up.

"Hold on," They state, and continue talking to what Pierre assumes is a handheld receiver. "What? 5498 Red, I'm alerting all guards now." That was a code, but for what? He was studying to be one of the officers who patrolled the city, so this would be something he needed to know. Then it hits him, 5498 Red-  gun; someone was shot. Pierre takes a deep breath, as the realization that one of the shooters could have been the an armed monster hunter sinks in. If this was the case, the city leaders were in a lot of trouble.

Then the line goes dead, and Pierre averts his attention back to his secretary. He places his palms on his desk and presses into it. "What is it?" He asks, trying his best not to show the stress or fear that he felt.

"Allie Kovac, had an emergency so he had to leave." She states.

"What? I need him here," Pierre yells, he shakes his head, and takes a deep breath before responding again. "Alright, fine. I'll give him a call later." The secretary nods, and exits the room shutting the door. "This is a disaster." Pierre mutters, as he types in Odele's number on the keypad of the phone. He had called her so many times, the number was practically ingrained in his brain.
