~Pierre~

"Hello?" Odele's secretary's voice rang through the phone. "Who is this?"

"This is Pierre, I have a problem at PCC." He explains. "It's urgent."

"I will transfer your call to her. Hold on." She responds.

Pierre hears the faint clicking of the keys, and then Odele's voice, as she sighs. "Pierre, why don't you ever call me to tell me something good."

He wasn't sure where to start, so he decided to explain everything with Allie, and then he moved on to his phone call with the train and then finally the shooting. After that, the line is silent. Then Odele's voice, moves to a whisper.

"What do you think they'll do when they find out?" By they Odele meant the citizens, and Pierre had no idea.

"They're going to be upset." Pierre states, "They were already against the monster hunters, and now they will have even more of a reason to be."

Odele sighs, and then Pierre feels guilty for bringing this all on Odele. But, being a leader was never easy and he was required to tell a leader about it, and of course Odele was the one who organized the campaign. "What would you do?"

Pierre pauses for a few seconds, thinking about his response. "I would have all the leaders attend the funeral, and have public speeches about how much the guard for the community, meant and then of course build a plan to upgrade our security measures."

"Good, I will pass on your ideas to the leaders at tomorrow's meeting, file a report and have it ready for my assistant to pick up in the morning." Odele ends the call, and Pierre begins typing at his computer. He opens up the report sheet, and fills in the required spaces. As he enters Allie's name, someone knocks on his door. Pierre looks up and notices his secretary standing in the doorway.

"What?" He snaps.

"Mrs. Joseph, would like to meet with you." She explains. Mrs. Joseph, as in Tyler Joseph's mom. Pierre sighs and runs his hands across his face. Five minutes wouldn't kill him, right?

"Send her in," He commands, she nods and leaves the room. Pierre pushes the screen of his laptop down, and second a later, a pale brunette stands in the doorway.

"Thanks for meeting me," She begins, taking a seat in the chair in front of his desk. "I have some questions about Tyler."

Pierre nods, practically every parents had questions about their child, going into the Zones. "Go ahead," He encourages, "I will do my best to answer them."

"Thank you! I just need to know is he okay? Is my boy alive?" She wonders, and Pierre notices the spark of curiosity and fear in her eyes. He couldn't imagine the suffering this woman is going through. How badly she craved an answer, that could possibly destroy her.

"Unfortunately, I haven't heard back from him yet, but that's okay, because the day's not over yet. But, I know for a fact, that Tyler is definitely strong and smart enough to survive." The spark that was there in her eyes before, disappears.

"Oh, so you don't really know." She mutters, Pierre was about to argue when she continues again, this time anger fueling through her. "He was just a kid, and you let him go off and die!" She exclaims.

"He chose to do this," Pierre responds calmly. "I promise you, he is fine."

"No! He's not. I bet he's scared and shaking!" She yells, and tears start streaming down her face. Pierre reassuringly places a hand on her shoulder.

"You weren't there during his training, he is very capable of handling himself."

She looks up at Pierre, her eyes red and glossy and her face in a frown. "I don't want him to have the same fate as my mom. I just can't go through that, again."

Pierre doesn't respond, instead he pulls out a pamphlet. He slides it over to her. She stares at it for a few seconds, before picking it up and taking a look inside.

"It's a new project the leaders have been working on, for the victims of the Zones. It starts next Thursday, and you'll definitely start hearing about it on the news soon. But, basically what it's a place where you can just stop by and drop a little card with the names of the ones you've lost, and if you would like they have group discussions. It sounds like a good idea, and I think it's something you should sign up for." Pierre explains.

Tyler's mom bites her lip, and taps a rhythm with her foot. "I'll consider it, but this is a very nice idea." She stops before adding "Do you mind giving me a call, when Tyler radios back." He nods, and she picks up a pen and writes down her name and number on a piece of paper. "Thank you, but I should get going now." She picks up her bag and heads towards the door.

"It was lovely meeting you, hopefully we see you at the remembrance service." After she exits and shuts the door, Pierre opens up his laptop and continues working on the report. After he finishes it, he prints it out and tucks it inside a big orange envelope. Then he leaves his office and shuffles over to the front desk. "Odele's assistant will be by to pick it up tomorrow morning." She nods, and sets a sticky note on top of the file, to remind her.

He turns around, and was just about to head back, when he feels a tap on his shoulder.

"Hello? Pierre Hoffman? Do you have time for a quick interview?"

Pierre plasters a fake smile across his face, "of course," he chirps. This interview would look great on his application to be a field officer. It wasn't everyday that a news reporter came to the PPC.

The woman smiles and nods at her cameraman. He counts down, and then clicks the button on the top of the screen, which makes a beep. "I'm here with, Pierre Hoffmann one of the teachers at the Monster Hunter Academy." She pulls Pierre forward, and he smiles. "So, Pierre tell me? Have you heard back from any of the monster hunters?"

Pierre shakes his head, "No, I'm supposed to hear from them at the end of the day. However, I would like to talk about a new project the city leaders have been working on. It's for the victims of the monster attacks, although anyone is allowed to attend." The woman smiles as Pierre goes on explaining what the purpose of this was, she finally had an interesting topic.
