~Pierre~

Pierre arrives at the PPC, to begin another stressful day at work. Once inside, the secretary greets him with her friendly smile, followed by an update.

"Pierre, I'm glad you're here. Odele's secretary picked up the file you had for her, and left information for you to attend a meeting." She informs, holding a square piece of paper. Pierre takes the card from her hand and reads it.

Core GTX, 4250 Lipton street at 1:30.

Pierre nods, and walks over to his office, unlocking the door. He heads over to his desk, and turns on his computer. He opens the program that's connected to all the radios the monster hunters had. All 20 of them had checked in. He plays the audio from Zone One, as he opens a notepad app, where he records all the information.

DAY ONE:

Zone One: Alive- Seven dead

Zone Two: Alive- Five dead

Zone Three: Alive- Nine dead

Zone Four: Alive- Four dead

Zone Five: Alive- Seven dead

Pierre plays the next audio, "Pierre," Tyler's voice shakes. "I'm alive, and I've killed seven monsters. I'm sure you've probably already heard about what happened with Josh- Allie Kovac. I have some questions, and I need you to radio me back, please."

Pierre opens a drawer and pulls out his radio. He holds down a button and speaks into it, "Tyler, it's me, Pierre. Are you awake?" He wonders, if he was he wouldn't get an answer.

After a few minutes Tyler responds, "Pierre, oh thank goodness. How's my mom? Is she okay?"

"She visited me yesterday asking about you, do you want me to pass on a message to her?" Pierre questions, he opens a drawer in his desk and fumbles for the paper Mrs. Joseph gave him with her number on it, after finding it he enters it into his phone and begins to type a message to her.

"Please," Tyler states, "Tell her that I'm okay, and that I love her." Pierre types it into his phone and hits send.

"Alright, I texted her. Just to let you know Ben's alive." Pierre informs. "Also there's a meeting today to discuss everything that Allie did, or whatever his name is."

"It's Josh, and he told me everything. I just need you to do a little research and tell me if it's true or not." Tyler explains everything that Josh told him, even what happened with Ben.

"I could look for old documents, and search for security footage of Ben. But, if what he's saying is true, they've probably buried any evidence. Are you we can believe him, I frankly don't."

"Please just look into it, talk to witnesses, find out who worked the case." Tyler suggests.

"I could visit the prison and see if his mom's there. Then I'll look into the case, and confront Odele about all of this... but I just don't know," Pierre sighs, it's been two days since he got back for work, and there's already been so much drama. "I'll keep you updated."

"Thanks," Tyler gushes, and Pierre puts away the radio. On the corner of his laptop he notices the time; 10:10.

He goes back to finishing the list of all the monsters that had been killed yesterday. The highest was 11 from Zone 13. The lowest was four from Zone Four and 17.

Pierre approaches the building where the trial was to be held in. Reporters surrounded the area, all with microphones in hand. A few of them walk up to him, and ask him a few questions, but he keeps walking. Of course they found out about the trial. He opens the door, and slips inside. The guard near the entrance stops him, and he holds out his ID. She nods, and Pierre heads inside. All the city leaders were already gathered there, along with every other important person in the city, as well as most of the train operators.

"Shall we start?" Odele announces. Everyone nods, and Pierre takes a seat at the table. Odele reads all the information on the file, and once she finishes the room is filled with noise, so many people talking all at once. "Stop!" Odele commands, and the group falls silent. "This is just the information that was given to us, we still need to investigate further, and find witness, however, I wanted to handle this case before it became a big scene. We need to decide together on what to do. Pierre, since this was your case, you start."

All eyes fall on Pierre, and he clears his throat. "There isn't much we can do, from what I was told by the train operators, the boy was left in the Zones. They wouldn't risk going into the monster filled area to chase down an armed killer. We should take blame for all of this, and speak to the guard's family, and increase our security measures."

"And how do you propose we do this?" Someone argues, they cross their arms over their chest. "Why should we take blame? We didn't do this."

"Maybe we didn't do this first hand, but our lack of security did this," and our unfair trials, Pierre thinks. Then, suddenly a rush of anger overwhelms him, as he thinks about Josh and his mom. He doesn't believe him, but he trusts Tyler. "As the people in charge of our city, we need to protect everyone, from people who want to do stuff like this." Only he can't call out Odele, because he doesn't have enough proof, and the word of a killer isn't enough.

"Alright, and what do we think we should do to increase security measures?" Forrest- a city leader- inquires, not only addressing Pierre, but everyone in the room.

"Photo ID on our cards." Someone suggests, and Pierre groans inwardly. If they agreed to that, the PPC would be filled, for weeks. Then it hits him- all the chaos, would be the perfect distraction for him to investigate on Josh's mom.

"That is a good idea, we will work on getting that announced. In a week or so, people should be able to stop by the PPC, to get their photo taken." Myles informs, and then straightens up. "I think that's all. Forrest and I shall work on getting a memorial held for the guard. While Odele and Inna-" The fourth city leader, "will work on the event for the victims of the Zones."

"The PPC workers can handle setting up a place for everyone's photos to be taken." Odele decides. She glances around the room, notifying that if anyone has anything else to add now is the time to do it. "I guess we're done here."

And with that, the group disperses.
