I shook my head to wake myself up and looked into a light. I closed my eyes again, but opened them to see what was happening.

"Its a good thing you found her son. Another ten minutes and she would've been a goner!"

"Yeah. I heard some girls talking about beating up the new girl and I had to go back to help. She of course is my friend."

"Well you can take her home. Just keep her warm tonight."

"Yes sir. Thank you sir."

I closed my eyes, but my fingers twitched. I felt his eyes on me so I opened them once again.

"Gabbie... I am so sorry. Sorry that I wasn't there today. I should of been there"

"Shhh... shhh. Its quite alright Kyle. Its not your fault, that 'I' was beat up. Its my own." I smiled. "And plus. I think I'll be fine in just a couple of days."

"You are way to positive." Kyle stated and I shook my head.

Well. One cool thing came from being in the hospital. I got crutches and band aids stuck on my face. Yippie! Not. Everyone knows kids get made fun of for having crutches. Oh well...

"So... Gabbie. What exactly happened?" Kyle said standing closer than needing to be.

"Well you guys were gone so I tried to make new friends. Some girl called me a bitch and you guys losers. So I stood up for you guys and got beat up."

I felt Kyles hand touch my shoulder. "You... you stood up for us?"

"Yeah... Thats what friends are for. Well... and us Jews should stick together." I said with a slight grin.

"What?"

"Oh nothing. I'm cold." I said and tripped on a piece of side walk. "Woah!"

...

"Hello Mrs. Broflovski. Mr. Broflovski. My name is Gabbie."

"Well hello dear. We are very happy to have you over." Mrs. Broflovski said from the couch.

"Yes. We have made up a bed for you right next to Kyles room."

"Thank you."

"You are very much welcome!"

I looked over at Kyle who was staring at the small boy on the floor. He looked over and I grinned. My eye was swollen from the fight but I still wanted to be happy.

"Well you kids better head up to bed."

"Yes sir." I said and stood up with my crutches.

"Come on up Gabbie. I will show you your room."

...

I'm not even gonna say how hard it was to go up stairs with crutches... It was hard...

Kyle walked me to a door and opened it. I looked inside and frowned. I could tell that something was wrong.

"Where's the bed?" I asked confused.

"Um... I dont know." Kyle stated confused. "Guess you'll have to sleep in my room."

I looked at him funny and shrugged. "Okay."

I limped over to the next door to the right and he opened it. In it was a small bed and lots of other stuff. I looked around a minute before Kyle slipped off his coat.

I walked over to the bed and sighed. "Well how's this going to work?"

"We could always share." He said and laid down on the bed.

"Um..." I couldn't think straight. "Okay?"

He patted the bed next to him and I laid down, and covered myself up.

"Good night Gabbie."

"Good night Kyle."

Then I fell asleep, not knowing he had kissed me and whispered a message to me.

I love you Gabbie. I wish that I could tell you.
