(Jimbo)

"Okay we just need to know the name of the girl." The nurse said to me.

"Monica Marsh. Well Monica Ann Marsh." I lied threw my teeth.

"Thanks Mr. Marsh. We will make sure to help Monica as much as we can."

I sighed. Maybe I should call Randy or someone to see if they knew this girl.

I opened my cell phone and looked at the time. 3:16 in the morning. O... Randy was not going to be happy about this...

I dialed my brothers number and listened to it ring. After about seven rings I almost hung up but heard my brother answer.

"What?" I heard him say annoyed.

"Randy. I have to ask you something important."

"What?"

"I'm in the ER right now with some girl and I was wondering if you knew her?"

"A girl?"

"Yeah. She had like a purple jacket, brown hair, um... and like this big purple hat."

"That sounds like the girl that was over hear a few days ago. I think Stan would know. Let me go get him."

Everything on the other end was silent for a minute before I heard Stan.

"Uncle Jimbo? What do you want? Its like three thirty in the morning!"

"I know Stan but I have to ask you a serious question."

"What?"

"I'm in the ER right now with a girl. She has brown hair, a purple jacket and a big purple"

"Gabbie!?" Stan cut me off.

"You need to get in here right now because I'm her dad... well that's what I told them anyway."

"I'll be there in a few minutes! Dad! Take me to the hospital now! And get Kyle too! He'll wanna go too" The phone call ended and I put my phone in my pocket.

At least someone knew this girl. Apparently her name was Gabbie? Hmm...

...

(Gabbie)

I opened my eyes slowly and heard a small beeping noise. A small tube was sticking from my nose and from my wrist. I looked around the room and saw the guy that had rescued me.

"Sir?" I asked.

He looked up at me and rubbed his eyes. "Your awake!"

"Well, sort of..." I said and looked around. "Where am I?"

He walked up to the bed and leaned over me. "I'm sorry to tell you this, but your in the hospital and I kind a lied... yeah... Your name right now is Monica Ann Marsh. Okay?"

"Wait... Marsh!?"

"Yeah, and I'm your dad. Got it?"

I looked him in the eye and nodded. "Sure... dad..." The word rolled off of my tongue and I smiled.

The door opened and a nurse walked in. "Oh! She's awake! Well I guess that her visitors can come in."

"Visitors?"

"Yes." She said and walked out.

The door opened again and Stan walked in with his dad. Then Kyle walked in. My heart stopped dead in its tracks and the machine next to me had a long beep.

They were here?! Stan? Kyle!? Seeing me like this!?

I opened my eyes realizing that I had spaced out for a second. Kyle was by my side in tears and my fake dad was hugging Stan.

"Um... Guys?"

"Gabbie!?" Kyle almost dove on top of me and I took in a deep breath.

"Sh! Its Monica!" My 'dad' yelled.

"What just happened?" I asked and everyone looked at each other.

"I'll tell you later." Kyle whispered and I nodded.

Yet again the door creaked open and a doctor walked in. "Okay. Monica. We are going to need to keep you here a few days. If its okay with you dad."

"I'm sure my dad won't mind if I go home either. I mean, I feel fine!" I said trying to get out of there.

"Sure you do, that's why you flat lined an hour ago."

"A. An hour ago?"

"Yep. We pronounced you dea"

"Okay! That's enough!" 'Dad' Yelled. "I'm taking her home and I'll take care of her."

I looked at him like he was crazy. What was he up to?

About an hour later I was wheeled out of the hospital in a wheel chair. Man... this was even more embarrassing than the crutches! Kyle kept telling me that I would be fine I was just going to stay with Stans uncle Jimbo for a while.

"Kyle. I barely know this guy... I want to stay with you!" I whined.

"Sorry but the doctor said something about coming over and checking up on you in a few days." He said.

I sighed. Why was my life a mess right now? Oh and Kyle didn't even know about Kenny or any of that crap. Dang it, I would have to tell him about that to...

"Okay. Ready to go home?" Jimbo asked.

"Yeah, I guess." I said looking at Kyle.

Kyle bent down in front of me. He kissed my forehead and smiled. "We'll come visit you."

I smiled back at him as Jimbo rolled me away. I waved to Stan and Kyle. I wondered where Randy went as I turned around. Hm...

"Well Gabbie this is where your gonna be staying for a while." Jimbo said with a grin.

I looked around the small house and at all the animal heads hanging from the wall.

"Cool..." I said think about him hunting.

"Yeah, the only problem is Ned is living with me too. So when he gets back I'll have to introduce you two." He left me in the living room and walked into another room.

He returned with a beer and a glass of water. I looked at it and he handed it too me.

"Thanks Jimbo."

"No problem. Well I guess I'll have the couch you can have my bed as long as you stay here."

I looked at him like he was crazy. I mean yeah I couldn't walk and I could barely breath at some points, but he didn't need to give up his own bed!

"No I'll take the couch." I said trying not to look at him.

He kinda chuckled a bit and I heard him whisper. "This child is a fighter."

He wheeled me into another room and I looked around again. I huge bed with a bear skin on top of it draped over the edge.

I wowed in surprise. This was probably the coolest guy I had ever met.

"Thanks for saving me Jimbo... I dont think I would be here if it wasn't for you..." I said.

He picked me up and laid me in the bed. "No problem Gabbie."

He walked out and shut the lights off and I laid on my side. "Goodnight Dad..." I then fell asleep in the new house.
