The next few years went by without a care in the world. I lied very few times, and when I would, I would soon apologize.
It's hard to even believe that at one point in my life I couldn't stop lying because now it kills me to lie.
Sabrina and I stayed friends. At the times when we both had boyfriends, we would go on double dates. And we made sure we had at least one 'Girl's Night' per month though it usually ended up being closer to two or three. When we graduated, we went our separate ways for college. We kept in touch, especially the first few months, but things soon got very hectic for the both of us. One of us would call while the other was in class. Then we would call them back, but they would have something going on where they couldn't answer or only talk for a second. No matter what, though, we always considered each other as best friends, and anytime we would be near them, we would call and meet up. It would be as if nothing happened, and we never left each other.
Shawn and I kept hanging out together, and soon we officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. He did, however, end up moving to Colorado after a few years. We tried to have a long-distance relationship, but like most long-distance relationships, it didn't last. We kept in contact. He ended up moving again from Colorado to California, where he went to college, and he found a new girlfriend. He said that she reminded him of me which is why he started hanging out with her but came to love her for her. I'm happy for him. Shawn will always be my first love and have a special place in my heart, but I, too, moved on and found myself a new boyfriend.
Henry grew up and passed me in height when I was a senior. I had stopped growing at a whopping 5' 6". I expected him to pass me but not so soon. He was only 12, and already 5' 7". But then again, my dad was also really tall and stopped growing when he was 14, so it makes a little bit of sense. He was, however, taller than everyone else in his grade.
My parents stayed at our old house till Henry graduated high school, and then they went on a road trip all around the country and sometimes cruises to different places. We would occasionally go on family vacations during spring or summer break to different destinations, but not as many as I made it seem. However, they were never the same as they were when we were kids. I miss those times.
When I was a junior in college, my boyfriend proposed to me. We had been dating for two years to the day. He proposed to me on our two year anniversary. We got married about six months later.
My first kids were boy and girl twins. We named our baby boy Jax Miles, and precious girl Lanie Claire. They both had beautiful blond hair and blue eyes, like me. He had curly hair, but she had her dad's straight hair. Since I had always wanted straight hair, I was secretly hoping she had straight hair. Don't get me wrong, I love my curly hair, I just can't do as much with it. I braided her hair or did something really cute to it every day. She was spoiled in some ways, but she was very humble.
I used my story to, in a way, scare them, so they rarely ever lied. And like me, they would soon regret it and apologize. I ended up having a total of five kids, two more girls and a boy. A couple ended up with brown hair like their dad while the majority of my kids had my blond hair. Some had straight. Some had wavy while others had full on curls. They were all raised right and rarely lied.
I later decided to write a book about my special story. I made it to teach a lesson to kids and adults about what lying will do to your life. It wasn't very long, but it got the point across. It is titled My Fake Reality, and I bet many people will ask where I got the idea. Just know that it was all my life, nothing made-up.
