"Freya?" A familiar yet annoying voice sounded behind me and I turned around from the crafting table to see Khloe entering the room.

"What the hell are you doing in my house?"

"The same reason that you spend so much time at that table of yours." She pointed at the table with her eyes glued to me. "To protect your family."

"You almost killed my sister and you kidnapped me." I stated in a serious voice. "Did pulling out your heart make you a better person?"

"Nope." Khloe chuckled. "Still the same person. I just wanted to apologize." She nodded. "You don't have to forgive me neither do you have to trust me. I just want you to know that I am truly sorry love."

"Well if you want me to forgive you faster, you can start by leaving." I stated firmly.

"Sorry I can't do that. I already promised Henric that I'd stay and babysit Esther. I'd cloak myself if you'd like." She stated cockily with a huge smile going across her face.

"I'd rather watch you than know you're standing under my roof alone."

"That's what he said." She smirked. "I hope we bump into each other again, maybe with less threats and more team work huh?"

"I can't work with you without insults, so trust me...that'll be the day."

Hayley

Standing next to the tree I waited for Elena, Caroline, and her daughters to arrive for a little ruling or whatever she wanted to call it. Elijah left the house after I did and he called me to apologize again. The distance apology was easier than the one that he tried in person which was why I didn't expect it.

When I heard the engine of a truck I turned around and walked towards it as it slowed down then turned off. The drivers door opened and Alaric stepped out while Caroline stepped out on the passenger side.

"Hey." I mumbled approaching them.

"Hey." Alaric mumbled and Caroline ignored my greeting.

"I thought Elena was coming." I implied folding my arms. "What happened?"

"She's gonna be here later." Caroline mumbled. "So I'm gonna take her place."

"And I'm just here because I don't want my little girls surrounded by a monster without my consent."

"He's human." I sighed. "He wouldn't hurt a fly."

"Sure he wouldn't." Alaric mumbled looking at Klaus playing with Hope.

"Besides, we're gonna go take care of some business. It'll be quick. I think. I hope." I nodded. "Klaus?!" I called out to him when I turned my attention in his direction.

He and Hope stopped enjoying the nature and turned my way. Hope stayed put while Klaus walked my way.

"Are we ready?" He asked.

"Yeah." I nodded walking around them. "Caroline and Alaric are gonna babysit for us."

"Alright then." Klaus nodded his head and walked between us heading towards the car.

I walked through the woods with Elena on our way to the Mystic Falls cemetery with my left hand in my pocket. We talked about what she's do to find Stefan and I told her that I'd help.
