Dear Diary,

Last night hell was finally destroyed after all this time. I just have to say a few words before leaving New Orleans for good and this will be one of the most thoughtful promises that I will ever make to these people that have been through so much because of my mistakes.

Niklaus.

Niklaus

The witches had been all standing in the cemetery that had been run over from the storm last night or this morning. I walked through them and stepped onto the concrete stand next to Vincent.

Looking at the large crowd Marcel and Josh had been standing in the front row. Maxine and Adam had also been there too and I nodded my head at them while Maxine smirked back at me. Taking a deep breath I began to speak.

"Last night..." I began. "One of the biggest monstrosities of this city has happened and I blame myself for these actions. I don't speak for Tyler nor anyone else when I say that I am truly sorry for ruining the lives of almost everyone in this city. Marcellus, that includes you. Without me being here this place would be like a park in the young child's dream with an amazing slide that never ends while it rains ice cream and sprinkles. No one with the last name Mikaelson shall even drive through this city even if it's the only path to their final destination. My family is not aware of these words, but I will be sure to let them know. May we vampires, werewolves, and witches keep our peace as we Mikaelsons travel our distance and keep it that way for eternity."

The crowd clapped their hands together including Marcel, Josh, and Vincent. Even the weather agreed with me as a few light drops of rain fell from the sky along with a beautiful rainbow. The look on Marcel's face was one that I had wished I'd given him sooner. He was one of many people in this world that I felt I needed to make proud.

Words were not shared between us as I used to my speed to leave this city forever and rush home to my family in Mystic Falls.

When I had arrived in Mystic Falls, instead of going to Hayley's house I had come to the lake house. When I entered there had been a full house. That was when I'd been wondering how they had known. Freya then held up a snow globe.

"You're daughter is a genius." Henric chuckled weakly which made me worry just a bit.

"It was a simple dagger Davina." A familiar voice had sounded as the front door opened. "If I weren't there to save you, you'd be dead. Instead of criticising me you should be thanking me little witch." Finn and Davina has been coming through the door.

"Brother?" I smiled. I didn't pull him into a hug but I was extremely happy to see him.

"I'm fashionably late. Do forgive me." Finn nodded.

"Could ever one have a seat?" I stated wiping the smile front my face. Davina and Finn took a seat on the couches along with Freya, Kole, Henric, Kendall, Kimora, Kaelin, Elijah, and Esther. "Last night as we all obviously know, he'll was destroyed. But today, I made an announcement to all of the witches and Vampires of New Orleans making sure they were aware that we were not allowed back inside of that city." I nodded.

"Why would you do that?" Finn asked while furrowing his eyebrows.

"Because I almost died for something that wasn't worth it. That city means nothing to me. But each and every person in this room does." I stated seriously. "I also don't plan on staying here. There's greater things in this world for each and everyone of us. Today is the day that we find out what it is."
