One week later….

Just as the same as yesterday and the days before that, Matt still didn’t come to school. One thing I realized, no one ever seemed to care, not even Clarissa, except of course there were me and Melly. I didn’t quite sure if Melly really cared. Oh and there was another person, it was Alex. I had no idea what kind of relationship—I meant partnership these two shared, but I always spotted him together with Matt. Perhaps he was his best friend. I wanted to ask Alex, but it wasn't really good idea, so i just buried my thoughts.

The bell rang indicated the class had ended for the first period. Every one burst to the door, leaving me and Melly alone, she was sitting beside me playing with her jade bracelet on her right wrist. We didn’t usually left the class when the break, mostly because we didn’t know where to go. That was when I felt my phone vibrated in my pocket. I quickly took it out; it was just a black and white edition from Nokia aka the dull phone. One text message.I wondered from who it would be. The only person to text me was Melly and she was right beside me. With all the curiosity I opened it. It was from an unknown number.

Meet me @ lot now!

-Matt.

I froze. My eyes couldn’t move from the name. Matt.Is it really him, how did he get my number?

Melly took the phone from and read the message.”What are you waiting for? Go.” She said

My brain still didn’t let me proceed it.”But—No one could get into the lot during the school hours.” I reminded her.

“Uhm… you are right.” Melly tapped her index finger on her chin. She always did that when she was in a   deep thinking.

I didn’t say anything. I was just staring at my phone’s screen. Is it really him?   I asked myself again.

Melly suddenly spoke.”But he texted you right? He probably had it settled. Just go, Tabby.” It was something in her tone; it wasn't a telling tone from her, but an ordering tone.

I bit my lip. I honestly didn’t know what to do.”Come with me?” I looked up at her.

Melly grinned widely and nodded.

Together we left our class and climbed down the stairs to the first floor, our class was located in fourth floor.

As we reached the parking lot, Alex was standing there instead of the security. Melly was right, it was his plan. He told me that Matt was waiting. From there, I walked by my own. Melly stayed with Alex.

There he was. leaning against the tree. It was the same like one week ago, except Matt looked much more alive. I walked silently toward him. He heard my steps and I knew it. But he didn’t bother to look up until I stopped.

He wore a black leather jeans with white T-shirt and enveloped by a black leather jacket .'He is so cool in black.' I thought.

He looked up at me, made me stunned again.”I’m sorry about last week.” He finally spoke, his voice was soft as silk.

Sorry? For what? I didn’t understand it, but before I could even reply, he added.”And thank you too.”

I just shrugged.”No problem.” I offered him a warm friendly smile.

Then there was silence again. Time passed quickly, I heard the bell rang behind me.

“I’m sorry I have to go back now.” I said and turned back.
