There was a storm in my heart when I entered the class room. I could sense Melly’s presence by my side. She was steady, ready to hold in case I collapsed again. I took a deep breath and walked toward my seat which located in the last row. Like usual I completely ignored everyone’s sight. And it seemed the news of Matt’s returning had became the headline. I could hear the joy—the fake one came out from Clarissa’s lips. Clarissa, the bitch, that’s how everyone labeled her except her two sidekicks, Anastasia and Vanessa. Clarissa owned the throne of queen B in our school. Her father was a businessman, for the record, Matt’s father and her father were partners. Her home was a broken home, but there was never a hint of caring in her eyes. While Anastasia and Vanessa, the two shared completely different personality with Clarissa, well Vanessa did. Vanessa was born in a middle class family, alcoholic mother. She rather stayed quiet every time. And Anastasia lived with her parents, the only she cared about was her look, nothing else.
Clarissa had her own reason to hate me; the reason was simple, because Matt briefly dated me after they broke up. She was trying to make my life a living hell ever since, well she succeeded. But it seemed like today was my independence day. She would completely busy trying to get Matt’s attention back rather than finding a way to shoot my back.
I watched around me silently, he wasn’t there—yet. I let out a relief sigh. I could hear Clarissa was retorting something about me; it was clearly in her tone. But I wss trained to ignore her.
I opened my binder and took out my pen. I was just randomly scratching but my hand suddenly changed those scratches into words, a small poem
I am not waiting to hold your hands
I have no wish to lean on your shoulders
There is no sadness after your gone
I don’t know how to tell such lies
As I finished writing the last word, my mind flew to past, to those memories…..

I had an extra class that day which made me had to stay until 5 pm. Melly wanted to wait for me, but I told her not to. My class had finished five minutes ago. I made my way to my school canteen, buying a drink then made my way leaving the school. That was when I heard glass breaking sound and a scream were coming from the parking lot. I quickly ran toward the parking lot and I found Matt there, in drunken stage.
I know him from the first day, we were in the same class and we barely looked at each other.
He continued to break the empty alcohol bottle on the wall. It seemed like he had been doing that for hours. I couldn’t do anything but just watching him from distance. I was too scared if I approached him he would just hit me with one of the empty bottles over there. But the moment I saw him about to collapse, I couldn’t hold myself any longer. I stormed my way toward him, held him in my arms. He was so heavy. I couldn’t hold my balance and we both fell on the ground—well, I did, since I still held him in my arms.
“Matt. Matt, are you okay?” I shook his body gently. I saw his chest up and down rhythmically, I was relief that he was still with me there.
He opened his eyes few minutes later, it was red. I couldn’t believe that he just cried that much.
“Matt, can you hear me?” I asked him once again. I was worried, but I had no idea what else to do at that moment.
“Tabitha…” he spoke for the first time and I froze. He knew me, he knew my name. That was impossible. But I had no time to think about such things. I knew he parked his car somewhere there, but I couldn’t drive it, so it wouldn’t make any differences. “Wh—what are you doing here?” his voice was hoarse and pained.
