" Once upon a time, there lived a maiden, a court jester and a knight.

All was right with the world, they were already living their happily ever after.

The maiden was to be engaged with the knight.

And the court jester has found a loot of gold!

But sadly, on the mark of the wedding day.

(Which, the court jester gladly paid for.)

The knight has vanished, without a trace in the world.

Soon the fair maiden fell into despair.

And the court jester's gold was sadly stolen.

And the beautiful feast that was laid out for the wedding was also taken by the greedy thieves.

The End. "

"That was a bad story."

Leo said with a disapproving shake, awhile letting out a small yawn.

"Why? Because there isn't a happy ending? Not all stories can have a happy ending."

I argued back, awhile continuing on to say

"You agree with me right Little Al?"

Once upon a time, there was a period of time when it wasn't only Leo and I.

It was Leo, Little Al and me.

When Leo and I were in 4th grade, Little Al moved into town.

I vividly remembered my first conversation with him.

"Why is your name Little Al? Is it because you are short?"

And he was.

Such a tiny boy, but soon enough, every girl in 4th grade wanted to be with him.

Including mwah.

You couldn't help but "fall in love" with his floppy brown hair and goofy grin.

The girls in my grade even made up ways to earn his affection.

-Help him with homework

-Win a race

-Push him on the swings

But none of it worked, because do you know why?

He just didn't care, he only wanted one thing.

Swiss Miss Pudding.

And I was happy enough to share with him.

Making me an envy of the entire grade.

Not only I had one boy-friend.

I had two.

Not to brag, but it was pretty cool.

"I agree with you, but if I only I get to be the knight."

"All right, you ca-"

"You didn't let me finish Sarah."

He cuts me off, taking a deep breath as he lets out

"And if only you are the maiden."

Okay.

Tell me if you wouldn't have died in my situation.

I mean, I was "in love" with him.

He basically told me that he wants to marry me.

I was swoon for days.

Instead, I replied back

"Well where did you vanish of to huh?"

"To fight a dragon."

"But you are so tiny."

And he was, he was just so tiny. He was 2 inches shorter then me.

So, it broke my heart when he left for 5th grade.

I was so upset that I threw a rock at the back of his neck.

Not a perfect way to say goodbye, but I was losing the love of my life.

Of course I had to do something.

From that point on, I never expected to see him.

Well, until now.

He was no longer tiny.

A giant perhaps.

I  am guessing that he was 5'9, he was at least 4 inches taller.

His features are still remarkably the same, but heightened, improved.

And that same old grin was still there, already making me dizzy as I continued to stare at it.

"Do I have something in my teeth?"

He asked him with curiosity, his grin becoming more wide as it is.

"No its that I--"

"Well, I guess you can say that the knight came back for his maiden."

"Is the dragon dead?"

I muttered with a shy smile, my cheeks starting to turn red.

"Dead as my mom's meatloaf."

(Short chapter, I felt like this wasn't my best writing, but I wanted to introduce Little Al. I will probably edit this chapter tomorrow)
