I wanted to write this in celebration of having 3 parts published, 14 parts written, which is the date of the best day of my life, 3/14/17.

So on that day, I got noticed by Panic! At The Disco and I love sharing the story with people, so go ahead and skip this if you want to, but I thought I would share.

I had already known that day was going to be the best day of my life, because it was my first concert and I was seeing my favorite band. But I didn't know the things that were waiting for me at that concert.

When we arrived at Wells Fargo Arena (the concert venue for their Des Moines show), we had already got noticed by the radio station that was giving away ticket upgrades. We brought signs to hold during the concert and they wanted to look at them. The sign that intrigued them the most was my sign, which said, "Panic! At The Disco, Your Music Helped My Mom Beat Cancer"

They took pictures with us and the sign, gave my mom a t-shirt. We also signed up for the upgrade to get closer seats. A few minutes later, the guys from the radio station removes us from everybody else, a little ways from the line of people waiting to get in. He had someone recording us, and I started thinking, "Is he going to have us meet them?" That was not what happened, but they gave us two seats in the second row, which was the highest upgrade you could get. I immediately started crying, the concert not even started yet and I was already bawling my eyes out.  The guy gave me a hug and took us back to the line.

While we were waiting for the concert to start, a few people came and talked to my mom, seeing our sign, telling her she's an inspiration, and taking pictures with her. Her sign was a bit smaller, just saying, "Your Music Helped Me Beat Cancer" We were told that my big one might bother people, but it already got us in the second row, so it was okay. We were both extremely happy.

We were at the very end of the second row, on the left side, so we saw a lot of Kenny. I didn't know this until how long after the concert, maybe a couple weeks after, but my mom said she made eye contact with Kenny a few times and he smiled her. We knew he had seen the sign, we were holding it the entire show. Not up high where it was blocking people's view but in our arms, holding it so the band would see it.

Later on in the concert, towards the end I believe, Zack came up to my mom, handed her a piece of paper and walked away. Didn't say a single word, my mom didn't even realize it was him. We opened it, and it was one of the set lists they had around the stage.

Now, at the end of the concert, we realized we had one more shot to get them all to see the sign, so we stuck that sign up as high as we could. That sign was covered in sparkly sequins and bright colors. We got Brendon to see it, and they way his face lit up when he saw it was amazing. He got so excited he grabbed Dan and was pointing at our sign. He blew us kisses, and after he blew them I started bawling again. Dan had grabbed one of his drumsticks and thrown it to us, which is now my favorite thing in the world.

I later discovered in a video someone sent us that Brendon pointed it out to Dallon while he was throwing stuff out to the crowd and he blew us a kiss as well.

I would attach the short version of the video to this if my phone wasn't so crappy. The short version only shows Brendon noticing us and blowing us kisses. The long version kept turning sideways a few seconds in, so she cut the video and sent it to us through email. Maybe I can attach it someday.

If you look at my profile picture, it is a screenshot of the video, and Brendon is pointing us out to Dan.

That day will always be the best day of my life and I'm so glad I could spend it with my mom  because 28 days later she passed away, which was the worst day of my life. Thinking about that concert is what helped me get through it. You want to guess what day it was she died? It was April 12th, and the last thing I can remember her telling me is that Brendon Urie is now 30 years old.

That's the story about the best day of my life, I guess.

My next update will be on Sunday!
