I decided that the next place I needed to look was Dallon's parents' house. I quickly got into the car, Ryan trailing behind me.

"Do you want to come or not?" I asked.

"I'm coming! You need to slow down!" He said.

"I'm sorry but I can't, Ryan! Let's go!" I replied as soon as he got in the car.

"Where are we going now?" He asked.

"We're going to his house, so far everything has been right, we just need to find him!" I answered.

"Why is he so important to you?" Ryan asked.

"Because he saved me! You died and I went crazy! I was seeing you everywhere, I didn't even know you were dead! You were always with me, and it was all in my head. Dallon had gotten me to see the truth. I saved him too, he was so lost and I brought him back. He wasn't okay for years, and I helped him get better when no one else could. We needed each other, and I still need him now! I just hope he's okay," I explained.

I was speeding off as fast as I could to their house, I quickly pulled up to their driveway and jumped out. I ran up to their door and started pounding on it, screaming Dallon's name.

The door opened and his parents were there.

"I'm sorry if you don't know who I am and I'm sorry for coming here in the middle of the night, but this is important to me. I don't know if this is real or not, or if what I lived through was real or not, but I just need to know if Dallon is okay!" I rushed out.

"Dallon isn't okay, he hasn't been... He commit suicide a few years ago. Apparently, the kids at school were bullying him and he couldn't take it anymore... I don't know how you knew him, but would you like to come inside?" His mother said.

My heart shattered, I couldn't believe it.

"I'm too late," I whispered, my voice barely audible.

"Come on inside. Are you with him?" She asked Ryan, who nodded his head. "You come on in too."

I began sobbing uncontrollably, I couldn't save Dallon, I was too late. How did I know about him? How did I know all these places and names, never knowing them before? Maybe this was the dream, not that. I needed to wake up. I needed Dallon, but he wasn't here.

"Do you know how he knew Dallon?" She asked Ryan.

"I don't know, he just woke up in the middle of the night and started looking for him. He never knew any 'Dallon's before. I don't know," he said.

"I need him!" I cried out. "I need Dallon!"

Ryan came up next to me and held me in his arms.

"You aren't real, Ryan, you aren't real! Dallon told me so! None of this is real, I just want to go back to Dallon!" I sobbed.

"It's okay, Bren, it'll be okay," Ryan whispered.

"No, it won't be! I couldn't save him!" I replied.

"There's nothing you could have done, baby. You didn't know him, you didn't even know he existed when it happened."

"I should have! I should have been there! I could have saved him!"

"But you weren't, you couldn't."

"It doesn't make it okay! This can't be real!"

"I know it doesn't, but this is real."

"Then explain to me how I knew about him, how I knew where that hospital was, those doctors' names, where this house was? How could I have fallen in love with him then? Answer me that!"

Ryan stayed silent, I knew he couldn't find a logical answer. I needed to wake up, why couldn't I wake up?

"Why can't I wake up?!" I screamed.

"Bren, let's go home, we can talk about this when we get there, we're bothering his family, do you want that?" Ryan asked.

"Fine," I muttered.

"Give me the keys, I'm not letting you drive in this state," he said.

I gave him the keys and began to walk out to the car, sitting in the passenger seat silently while waiting for Ryan to come out. After a couple minutes Ryan came walking out and got into the car.

"I had gotten over you," I whispered.

"What?" He replied.

"I had gotten over you, you were gone, there was nothing I could do, and I became heavily dependant on Dallon. I fell in love with him while he helped me get over you. He saved me, and I don't want to believe I couldn't save him," I sniffed.

"I'm sorry, baby," he consoled.

We drove the rest of the way there in silence, the only sound being my sniffles and quiet sobs. When we got home, I quietly got out of the car and walked into the house, laying in our bed, not even waiting for Ryan. Ryan soon came into the bedroom and laid down next to me, putting his arm around me and comforting me. I soon cried myself to sleep

. . .

I woke up to the sound of someone freaking out, saying my name and shaking me awake.

"Brendon! Wake up! It's okay!" The voice said, it was a beautiful voice, one I absolutely adored. I recognized it and my eyes shot open. I felt tears on my face, my throat felt raw from crying.

"Dallon?" I asked, looking at him. "You're okay?"

"Of course I am! Are you okay? You've been crying in your sleep, screaming my name, I couldn't get you to wake up for the longest time! I've been so worried. What happened?" He rushed out worriedly.

I quickly reached out and hugged him as tight as I could, telling him everything. I was so worried I lost him forever. The dream felt so real, and that scared me.

"I knew it couldn't have been real! Ryan was there and I knew he had died. If it wasn't real I shouldn't have known everything I do," I said.

"I'm right here, I always will be here with you," he whispered.

"I love you, Dal," I said.

"I love you too, Bren," he replied. "My saving grace."

"My saving grace," I repeated.

A.N.

That's the end of My Saving Grace, I thought about leaving the dream out, because I originally was just going to make everything a dream, but then I thought that I couldn't do that, so there's the mini heart attack for you. I hope you guys enjoyed this as much as I did writing it. I think I might do a version of this in Dallon's POV if this gets enough reads and people who would actually read it.

I actually have the entirety of the Dallon version of this fic finished. It's basically the same thing, except more of what Dallon thought and felt. It's called Thankful for Him and I will be uploading it soon.
