"Do you promise me you won't be away from me during our next battle?" Aphmau asked Laurence.
"I prom." Laurence said, Aphmau looked confused.
"What's prom?" She asked.
"Half a promise." Laurence snapped, Aphmau rolled her eyes in annoyance. She hadn't gotten used to it by now, Laurence's insults and jokes. Garroth smirked in the corner of the room and tried not to laugh.
"Garroth, during our next battle I want you near me at all times, got that?" Aphmau said, Garroth nodded in response. Aphmau wanted her most trusted guard with her, she'd feel safe. Garroth was thinking about joining Katelyn in the war, things weren't so good with Garroth and Aphmau at the moment.
"You guys go get breakfast, I'll go practice with some soldiers." Aphmau said, she left the tent leaving Garroth and Laurence alone.
"I need to tell you something." Garroth said, walking over to Laurence. "What's up?" Laurence said. Garroth took a deep breathe and said "Katelyn wants me to join her at war, she says that if I join her, the war will end." Garroth explained, Laurence wasn't surprised, he had a feeling it would happen sooner or later.
"Do it." Laurence said.
"W-what?" Garroth stuttered.
"Do it." Laurence repeated. "Do it for us, this was will end if you join the other side." Laurence continued.
"Are you sure?" Garroth said, Laurence nodded in response.

Leona sat on the wooden chair, as she ate her breakfast. A place she once called home was now a ruin. Most of her friends had died during the attack, an attack that ruined everything. Leona couldn't help but feel sad, her home was now gone. Kiki could tell her daughter was upset, she walked over to Leona.
"I know is hard but, we have to try and move on." Kiki told her. "Move on, that's it?" Leona thought to herself. She didn't want to move on, she wanted to get all of her friends back, that was obviously not an option.
Leona took a sip from her orange juice, she still couldn't get the attack out of her head. It was stuck on her mind and it wouldn't leave her head. She'd never forget about this, she'd never forget about the place she once called home.
Leona looked over at Malachi, who was still sleeping. "Poor kid." Leona whispered. She felt bad for Malachi, his mom was at war with the queen of BrightPort. Malachi was the heir to Phoenix Drop, Leona remembered how Aphmau wanted a daughter to rule, not a son.
"How is that gonna work out?" Leona thought, the idea seemed stupid to her, Aphmau had a first born son, that's how it's gonna be, a third born daughter wouldn't have the same right as a first born. Malachi was born first, that meant he had the right to rule. Kiki sighed, she had been stressed for the past few days.
"Everything okay mom?" Leona asked. "Yeah, it's just that the whole attack has really been on my mind." Kiki said.
"It's been on my mind too." Leona confessed. Kiki smiled at her daughter and said "Don't worry, we'll get through this." Leona couldn't help but think "Will we really get through this?"

The more Garroth thought about it, the more he wanted to do it, joining Katelyn wasn't exactly an insane idea for him, but he didn't want to disappoint Aphmau. He knew she would never forgive him for doing that to her, joining Katelyn in the war. Yes, the war everyone was picking up on. Some said that this war was going to be a marked moment in history, they weren't wrong.
It had been seven months since the war started, seven months that wouldn't be forgotten. Garroth could feel the pain in his eyes as he thought about it, the past seven months had stuck with him. All the heartbreak, pain, and anger had stuck with him for days. Who knew that war could mess with you like that?
