Chapter 20: Lily's Plan

"Lily?" Aphmau said, Lily grinned. Her dark black hair was soft, just like Aphmau's. Her eyes were bright, skin was soft, she had a warm smile and a round nose. Her hair was in a side braid, she wore a light blue dress with matching shoes. Some say she was the most beautiful women in the land. She held a cup of wine, smiling at Aphmau. She took a moment and looked at Aphmau's belly.

"Is it Aaron's?" She asked, Aphmau got a twist in her stomach. Aphmau had once warned Lily to stay away from Aaron, was she gonna do something to the baby to get back at her?

"W-what are you doing here?" Aphmau asked, for once Laurence had seen Aphmau scared.

"Well, don't you need my help during the war?" Lily said, Aphmau and Laurence both scoffed. "We need your soldiers, not you." Laurence said, Lily rolled her eyes at him.

"Aaron made a mistake, I admit but, he's still the father of my child." Lily said, Aphmau looked confused. "Didn't you have twins." Aphmau's asked. The smile on Lily's face disappeared, she looked down at her feet. "Only one of them survived." Lily said, Laurence walked up to her.

"What do you want?" He asked, getting straight to the point. Lily opened her mouth to say something, but instantly closed it.

She spoke up, "I want to help, you're losing the war." She looked at Aphmau, Laurence turned to Aphmau. "You want her on your side?" Laurence asked, Aphmau nodded. "She's our only hope." Aphmau said.

"I also have a plan, a plan to end the war." Lily said, quickly catching Aphmau's attention. "What's this plan of yours?" Aphmau said, crossing her arms and walking over to Lily.

"Well, a little birdie told me that the dragon princess was dead, one of your soldiers killed her dragon and she fell down." Lily explained, Aphmau looked shocked.

"I'm just getting word of this? Why did no one tell me?" Aphmau said, Lily sipped her wine and looked at Aphmau. "The soldier was quickly executed, not many people know about this." Lily said, Aphmau sighed and looked over at Laurence.

"You're my most trusted adviser, what do you think?" She asked, Laurence smiled. "We trust her, she's all we've got." Laurence said, Lily smiled and put the cup of wine on a nearby table.

"It's settled then, you all trust me."Lily said, Aphmau scoffed. "Not completely, we still don't know what you're capable of." Aphmau said, Laurence nodded. "You could easily betray us." Laurence said, Lily rolled her eyes.

"Seriously, I just told you I'm willing to help and this is how you treat me?!" Lily yelled, her dark hair fell on her face.

"You have to deal with it, if you truly want to help me." Aphmau said, Lily rolled her eyes. "Whatever, you'll see that I'm not an idiot." Lily said, and with that she stormed out of the tent.

"She's a bitch, I like her." Laurence said, Aphmau took a moment to sit down and took a deep breathe. "Don't fall for it, she'll gut you." Aphmau said.

The dragon princess was gone, she was the only one that could control those crazy dragons. "How do you expect us to control these dragons?!" Garroth yelled, he threw a piece of meat at one of the dragons.

"Rhaenys knew how, we can learn to too." Katelyn said as she tried to feed one of the other dragons, the dragon roared in anger.

"Rhaenys was a Bloodworth, the Bloodworth family have been taking care of dragons for hundreds of years." Garroth pointed out, Katelyn sighed.

"Rhaenys was good at this, we're not gonna be as good as her." Garroth continued, Katelyn finally successfully fed the dragon. She walked over to Garroth and sighed.
