‘Why did I blush when he winked at me?’ I thought to myself.
It was perplexing. I had never blushed from anything he ever did but now all of a sudden I do? Why though, why now? I had no idea why I did or what triggered it. Derrick went back to his seat with a smile on his face after seeing my face. After the class recovered from their astonishment each person said their poems.
The bell rang just as the last one was finished. I gathered my stuff and headed out the door to find Akane and Leon so I could go home. I just wanted to go to my room and try to figure out what the h*ll happened to me and why it happened. It was then the worst thing that could happen did happen.
”Hey Miyako wait up!” Derrick’s voice said from down the hall.
I pretended I didn’t hear him and kept walking. I was surprised when I felt myself being turned around.
‘D*mn, he’s fast!’ I thought.
He smirked as he saw my look of uncharacteristic shock. I went back to my indifferent stature with difficulty.
“What is it Derrick?” I asked as I started to walk again with him beside me.
“Why do you hang out with Itachi?” he asked.
The question caught me off guard and I showed it by stumbling.
“What kind of question is that?” I asked/yelled at him after I regained my balance.
I was sure my face was a bit red and I looked angry as h*ll. He has no reason to be interested in my personal life!
“You have no reason to be interested in my personal life!” I practically shouted as I turned away from him.
I started to storm off but was pulled into a hallway no one ever used. He pinned me against the wall and I struggled against him. He had my arms pinned above my head with one of his hands and my mouth covered with the other. He put his leg between mine so I couldn’t move or try to escape.
He looked at me in total seriousness that was very uncharacteristic of him. He was always the carefree, happy, most laid back and non-serious person I knew even more so than Akane or Deidara. It made me stop struggling and look at him in wonder.
“I have a reason to be interested because it is my business.” He said quietly in all seriousness.
He removed his hand from my mouth and moved it to the wall beside my head as he leaned into me.
“What do you mean?” I asked quietly and confused.
He kept getting closer to me.
“I mean, it’s my business what you do with others.” He whispered onto my lips softly yet firmly.
His eyes had a weird effect on me. He had never had that effect on me before. My head was screaming move, to kick him, punch him, something to get away from there. I couldn’t though…his eyes just…hypnotized me, rooting me to the spot from them and his words. I’m sure my eyes were wide as he stared into them with his eyes half-lidded.
“You are my business. Everything you do is my business. Every breath, every move, every time someone else touches you I will know because it is my business.” He said.
He was so close. His free hand moved some of my bangs from my face and I had a light blush as he did so. His hand moved to rest on my shoulder. I didn’t know what to say but I felt anger bubble up within me as he said it as well as another emotion. I couldn’t fully grasp it though.
I finally broke my eyes from his and pushed to get him off of me. He let me and I ran out of the hallway to my car to which Akane and Leon were already there and inside. They were about to ask me what was wrong when I sent them the look I usually did when I didn’t want to say anything.
