Chapter Ten: Traitor

Things have been kinda hectic in the castle lately. Where should I start? I guess when Aceti came. He came unexpected. Leah had told us that there was another cat living under her bed. We meet him a few days after he had arrived in the castle. Apparently he was a former outlaw and he was taking refuge in the woods,then he meet Leah,who brought him into the castle. I think Tobias was jealous of when I talked to Aceti. He seemed irritated with Seth and Aceti. I guess he was afraid he might lose me to one of them. Later that day he was sweet like a prince and asked me on a date.

"Tris." Tobias called to me.

He came running and almost slammed into me. He stopped and touched his nose to mine.

"Hello,Tobias." I said startled.

"Hello,beautiful." Tobias said smiling. "I was wondering if I could take you on a date on the beach." He said taking a rose and placing in behind my ear.

"I would love to,Tobias." I said.

We began to walk out of the courtyard and down to the beach. We sat and talk in the white sand for what might have been minutes or what could have be hours. We sat in the peace and quiet,and everything was perfect.

Later that day everything changed. The once perfect feeling was gone. As me and Tobias reentered there was screams of terror. Guards lay die against the walls and on the floor. Trails of crimson paw prints leave from the bodies.

"Tobias." The king cried urgently. "The guards are dead,I what you to help me parol the castle. And you,Tris,can you fly over the castle and see if you can find any signs of the murders."

"Yes,sir." I said quickly bowing and I ran to the first opening I saw. It just happen to be the windows. I threw my body through the window and quickly opened my wings. I wasn't going to disappoint the king.

This was the first time that my wings that a real use.

I hovered over the castle. There was no one running in or out of it. Then I saw them. A group of three cats. The two cloaked were following a cheetah. All of their front paws were crimson.

'The murders.' I thought.

They trio made their way in to the woods and stopped. I landed and followed them. When I got close enough I recognize the cheetah. Meg. She was a traitor.

"Alright." Her voice was cold and hard. "With the guards dead,now we can murder the king and queen,then I will rule the kingdom." She laughed. "Along with that,Tris. If she's dead,Tobias will be mine and I won't have to worry about her taking him from me ever again." That was the last thing I heard her say.

I ran and flew up through the trees I had to tell the king about her plans and I had to tell,Tobias.
